This pine is a graceful, upright, evergreen tree, strongly conical in shape with ridged and furrowed chocolate brown trunk contrasting well with its graceful, green weeping needles. This pine is very sufficiently adapted to the southern California landscape with low water usage needs once established and is an asset to most landscapes, very common in park settings. Longevity is between years. This pine is worthy of retention on the project site, a mature tree with many years left to contribute to the aesthetics of the neighborhood. Generally speaking this species can generally survive the transplant process, as it is a hardy tree and has much higher stress thresholds than many other species.
