Our products are designed not only to look good but to stand the test of time. They are manufactured in our own UK factory, using timber sourced from approved suppliers and sustainable sources; most of our products are FSC certified as shown by the logo. The joinery standards used in the Hutton range are second to none, and most Hutton timber products are Tanalised E pressure treated with the latest generation wood preservatives to protect against decay and fungal attack, ensuring a long and low maintenance service life. This means we can offer a 15 Year Treat-Right Performance Warranty* on our Hutton products. PLEASE NOTE To minimise twisting and warping all Hutton garden furniture should only be used on firm level ground. Softwood is a natural material and can be prone to twisting and splitting during periods of wet or hot climatic conditions.

A combination of using next generation Tanalith E wood preservative, careful pre-treatment timber preparations, the use of high quality pine timbers and approved treatment procedures allows us to offer a 15 year TREAT-RIGHT performance warranty. This warranty is available on Hutton garden and landscaping products and also on the Severn Valley range of decking and cladding products. The TREAT-RIGHT warranty covers the failure of these products from wood decay and insect attack giving you and your customers total confidence in their long term performance. Warranty Details Covered is the cost of re-supply by Severn Valley Woodworks, or the re-supply by Severn Valley Woodworks (at our option), of a component that is proven to have failed as a result of fungal decay or insect attack within a 15 year period from the initial purchase. It does not cover the costs of removal or reinstatement of such components or consequential costs or loss due to failure of the component. The term fungal decay as used in the warranty refers to wood destroying fungi that feed on and degenerate the wood cell walls. It excludes staining and mould fungi associated with the weathering of wood. The term insect attack refers to attack by wood digesting insects that destroy the timber structure. The term failure refers to damage caused by insects and/or fungi to such an extent that the component is no longer fit for purpose. This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of consumers. Warranty Conditions 1. The Hutton or Severn Valley range of products should only be used for the purpose they were designed for. For instance, the products can be placed in ground contact (surface contact) but must not be embedded within the ground (below the surface). 2. Should the Hutton or Severn Valley range of pressure treated timbers be cross cut, notched or bored during installation, then exposed surfaces are to be liberally brushed with ENSELE end grain wood preservative to the directions shown on the product label. 3. Any Hutton or Severn Valley range products which are further processed, e.g. planed, must be returned to Severn Valley Woodworks for re-treatment. 4. A proof of purchase invoice must be supplied with any claim made. 20 19 HUTTON GARDEN & LANDSCAPING PRODUCTS Handy Hints from Hutton All Hutton products, where appropriate, come with easy to follow assembly instructions. Please take time to read these carefully before assembling. Pressure treated softwood (particularly pine redwood as used in the Hutton ranges) needs less maintenance than you may think. We would recommend: To keep softwood products in good condition, wash down surfaces regularly with a wood-cleaning product. Your Hutton product will gradually weather in colour, first to a honey brown and eventually to a silver grey. This does not indicate any loss of preservative protection. However should you wish to add a colour coating to your Hutton product at any time use a high performance wood stain or paint. Apply the wood stain or paint in dry weather and to the manufacturer s full recommendations. Maintenance of this coating should ideally be carried out each year, or sooner if needed. When applying a wood stain or paint, pay particular attention to horizontal surfaces and areas that may collect water. Changes in the weather may cause fixings to loosen and these can be tightened up as appropriate. Softwood is a natural product that can twist or warp through changes in climatic conditions. To minimise this Hutton products should always be sited on firm, level ground and away from areas where water collects. Softwood may at times develop cracks in the surface, these are called shakes. This is a natural occurrence and can be more prevalent during changes in temperature and humidity as the timber expands and contracts. The cracking will not affect the performance or durability of the Hutton product. If desired, it can be rectified by applying a proprietary wood glue making sure to follow the manufacturer s instructions at all times. Once dry this can be sanded accordingly, and this will not affect the performance of the Hutton product. Sheds - Pressure preservative treatment of our shed timbers is designed to protect against rot and insect attack to give the softwood an extended and low maintenance service life. The treatment is not intended to perform as a waterproofing agent and so water may permeate through the product. To help avoid this, a well maintained water repellent coating can be applied to the shed timbers, carefully following the manufacturer s instructions at all times. In the unlikely event a product is faulty or damaged upon delivery, any issue must be advised within a reasonable period. The definition of reasonable depends on the product and how obvious the fault is, however, even with more complex items you should work on the basis that this is no more than three to four weeks from receipt. This does not affect your statutory rights. Whilst your delivery driver is present ensure that you check your shipment before signing the delivery receipt, as notifications of damages or shortages should be noted on the signed proof of delivery.
