11 FERTILIZER AND PESTICIDE RESTRICTIONS AND LOAM AUGMENTATION Fertilizer and pesticide limited, except for establishing initial landscaping within the first season of growth. Long term landscaping will follow practices for water quality protection in Landscaping at the Water s Edge, an Ecological Approach (2007). A list of professional landscapers for homeowners for the evaluation of soils, fertilizing and pest management. Fertilizers used on the property must contain no phosphorus unless a soil test indicates that additional phosphorus is needed for growth.
12 PLANTINGS All landscaping will be limited to the use of native and non invasive non native plants Will reduce the need for fertilizers, pesticides and watering and to enhance the robustness of the plantings.
13 LOT CLEARING AND CONSERVATION AREAS Conservation restrictions include clearing of any vegetation, the removal of topsoil, the construction of structures, and dumping of trash and debris, with footpaths allowed. Within the homeowners property, modest clearing of understory and thinning of tree canopy may be conducted.
