The nearest town is St Austell which offers a re-built town centre with increasing retail outlets, numerous out of town trading estates, supermarkets, sports clubs etc. This area enjoys excellent road links to the A38 and A30, both of which are largely dual carriageway, both linking with Exeter where they join the M5 to Bristol and the A303 to London. OUTSIDE The property is approached from Penventinue Lane, a quiet nothrough country lane with a long gravelled driveway up to a large turning circle in front of the house with well tended lawns on either side and a row of mature trees on the left. There is plenty of parking for both the farmhouse and the holiday cottages, each having their own distinct area. An attractive honeysuckle arbour with a wrought iron gate opens from the turning circle into the front gardens of the farmhouse which comprise a central slate paved pathway approaching the front door with manicured lawns on either side and low stone walls flanked by flowerbeds and shrubs which provide privacy. A slate paved pathway continues along the right hand side of the house and continues around and along the rear of the house where it widens to provide a private sitting out area with door to a gardener s wc. A flight of slate steps off the rear path ascend to an orchard/garden at the rear of Wild Thyme Barn comprising well tended lawns with inset fruit trees and a stone chicken house. There is a well tended and productive vegetable garden which has ten raised vegetable beds with soft fruit areas, a composting corner, a timber garden shed, one potting shed and a metal framed greenhouse. This area has hedging on two sides providing an excellent degree of shelter. To the left of the entrance driveway is a gently sloping paddock with two large ponds beyond which are wildlife preserves, well planted with reeds and lilies etc. The smallest pond is stocked with goldfish and the larger with several varieties of carp. To the left of the farmhouse is a further area of paddock. On the right hand side of the main house, behind the cottages is a further paddock also surrounded by stock fencing and hedging on three sides providing excellent shelter. The garage has parking in front of it for numerous cars with an animal shelter and wood store to one side. It is accessed by a separate five-bar vehicular gate from the no-through country lane.
