4 FEATURED PRODUCTS Aspirating Smoke Detection CONVEYOR BELT DETECTION FIRE CONTROL PANELS VESDA s Very Early Warning Smoke Detectors are available in a variety of models to accommodate a broad range of environments and applications. From small to very large open spaces, and from the cleanest to the dirtiest environments, VESDA provides reliable, high-sensitivity, very early warning smoke detection. The VESDA ECO Detector is the industry s first system to combine ASD with gas detection and environmental monitoring. The Conveyor Ember Detector is a sensitive optical sensor designed to detect, in the presence of ambient light, the radiant energy emitted by burning or glowing embers being transported on conveyor belts. n Easy installation and a simple, flexible interface to connect to PLCs and fire alarm control panels n 80 ms response time n User adjustable sensitivity range of 10 to 50 μw/cm 2 n NEMA 4 rated enclosure for indoor and outdoor applications n Optional air-purge mounting flange and compressor to aid lens maintenance Technoswitch offers a full range of Conventional Fire Control Panels. These are also available in weatherproof versions. All panels are housed in powder coated sheet metal enclosures, ideal for our harsh local environments. A complete range of Intelligent Fire Control Panels are also available. These are all fully certified and have the latest technology and features (2012 release). We also offer an extensive range of Marine Approved Fire Control Panels in both conventional and intelligent versions. OPTICAL SMOKE DETECTION EXTINGUISHING PANELS FIRE SUPPRESSION UNITS The Motorised Reflective Optical Beam Smoke Detector was developed to overcome the problems of old outdated technology in beam detection. This motorised beam offers cost-effective beam detection solutions for protecting large areas. Two main attributes make The Fire Beam stand out from the crowd. A motorised beam head that continually self-aligns, and a low level controller from which all major functions can be performed from the safety of ground level. All Extinguishing requirements are catered for from the most basic control panels through to the more advanced intelligent systems. Repeater panels, weatherproof versions, combined fire and extinguishing panels and sophisticated panels with displayed count down and EN54 certification are available. Stat-X Aerosol Generators can be activated either manually or automatically. Upon activation, the generators produce an exceptionally effective, ultra-fine, potassium-based aerosol. Stat-X aerosol generators are very cost effective to install and maintain. The Stat-X generator s effectiveness is a function of its patented design, aerosol composition, and ultrafine particle size. Stat-X aerosol generators are virtually maintenance free and have a service life of over 10 years. This, coupled with their very low installation cost, makes them an extremely cost-effective fire protection suppression solution.

5 To view our complete PRODUCT RANGE, visit FLAME DETECTION LINEAR HEAT DETECTION HEAT & SMOKE DETECTION Protective Tape Steel Conductors Outer Jacket Flame Detectors operate in the harshest environmental conditions and are selfcontained stand-alone devices designed for direct connection to control and alarm systems or automatic fire extinguishing systems. The 40/40 range includes IR3, combined UV/IR, single UV, single IR, as well as a new Multi IR Detector which provides combined hydrocarbon and hydrogen flame detection. Heat Sensitive Polymer Protectowire Linear Heat Detector is a proprietary cable that detects heat anywhere along its length. Protectowire is a fixed temperature digital sensor and is therefore capable of initiating an alarm once its rated activation temperature is reached. The sensor cable is comprised of two steel conductors individually insulated with a heat sensitive polymer. The insulated conductors are twisted together to impose a spring pressure between them, then wrapped with a protective tape and finished with an outer jacket suitable for the environment in which the detector will be installed. Linear heat detection is ideally suited to industrial high-risk hazards, as well as many types of commercial applications. All the latest forms of Heat and Smoke Detection are available, including worldclass Apollo conventional and intelligent point detectors, award-winning optical beam detectors, battery operated standalone smoke detectors, wireless, and more. Our Cigarette Smoke Detection range incorporates Flame and Smoke detection and is designed to provide voice messages to warn of illicit tobacco smoking in areas such as rest rooms in schools, hospitals and businesses. However demanding the requirement or harsh the environment, we have a detector to suit. Klaxon, one of the world s leading manufacturers of Audible and Visual Signalling Equipment and Solutions has an extensive product range including electronic sounders, voice enhanced sounders, sirens, beacons and bells. The range of fire alarm sounders incorporates Sonos sounders for small to medium commercial applications and Nexus sounders for high output industrial applications. Emergency beacons use either Xenon flash tubes or high-efficiency LEDs as their light source. In areas with high background noise, emergency beacons accompany sounders to ensure the alarm is recognised.
