Special design, static measurement cell and waterproof case allow a direct use of CRIOTEL LCD on cryogenic tank and in truck tank applications. CRIOTEL LCD performs, without auxiliary or complementary devices, all the functions that follow: Level and pressure measurement CRIOTEL LCD contains an Ambra patented cell, performing Level and Pressure measurements simultaneously. This device, specifically designed to monitor cryogenic storage tanks, offers good accuracy, compatibility and resistance to mechanical bursts. Moreover, size and costs are reduced if compared to all the other solutions available in the market. Measurements, completely managed by a micro-controller, are showed on the LCD, directly in standard units, set by the user. Level can be set in %, Kg x 1000, Standard m 3 or Normal m 3 ; pressure can be set in bar only, choosing 0-20 or 0 50 bar range. Level range can be calibrated by the use for every type of tank, both the ones for industrial and hospital applications. It also includes the automatic compensation, following the specific gases operating pressure between Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide and Argon. Differential and gauge pressure switches CRIOTEL LCD includes three auxiliary output switches, managed respectively by minimum level and low or high pressure alarms status. Alarm thresholds and NO or NC switches operations can be independently set by the user. It is also possible to define the auxiliary output switch referred to the full trycock; this signal, if connected to a cryogenic pump, allows filling the tank in safety conditions. Differential and Gauge pressures transducers CRIOTEL LCD supplies Level and Pressure measurements as two insulated analogue outputs, completely controlled by a microprocessor. Pressure range of analogue outputs is fixed at 0-30 / 0-50 bars. Level can be set by the user, from 0 to full-scale. Standard analogue outputs can be set by the user to mA or mA.

3 Programming by encoder All CRIOTEL LCD functions and set-up parameters can be easily set by the encoder and the pushbutton located onto the unit box. Remote control (Telemetry) An optional internal or external modem card (both are optional) enables a PSTN or GSM data transmission from remote and a TCP/IP phone network connection between the CRIOTEL LCD and the telemetric mainframe. The modem allows the automatic transmission of alarms notifications and level updating from CRIOTEL LCD to the mainframe and also the real time programming and tank supervising from the mainframe. Check for losses in pneumatic connection When the cell temperature drops below - 20 C, an internal temperature sensor notifies in remote the alarm status. This information allows finding possible losses in pneumatic connections, avoiding that cryogenic liquid reaches the transducer. Support functions for tank filling managements CRIOTEL LCD provides a Fast Empting alarm, which allows informing the logistic department manager about the abnormal consumption referred to a Δ value, set from the central station on three sample points at periods of 30min. This alarm status is available only in remote, on the CRIOSYSTEM Supervisor central mainframe interface, and can be sent by voice messages, SMS and . It also provides a memory storage function, referring to the Level and Pressure trend, that can be customize defining the sampling frequency between 5 and 30min. This function is particularly useful to recognize faults in abnormal tank trend, when it is necessary. 4 Auxiliary alarms remote control CRIOTEL LCD includes three digital inputs for external alarm switches sensors (pressure switch, temperature switch, etc ). External sensors notify auxiliary alarms statuses that are trasmitted by the modem in the local network and light the alarm leds on the CRIOTEL LCD front panel. For example, these inputs could be connected to alarm pressure switch checking minimum level of emergency bundles (LH and RH), in typical biomedical applications and alarm temperature switch for the tank outlet line. Local network of the same plant devices Local network interface, included in the standard provision, allows connecting up to 32 CRIOTEL, FLOTEL and MIXTEL units on the same modem card and P.C., to easy collect and manage all the information concerning the same plant. Modular lay-out always ensures an inexpensive and easy monitoring network, also regarding big or complex installations including bundles of gaseous, cryogenic tanks, mixers and other equipment. Thanks to local network and the protocol CRIONET, an entire plant can be monitored at the same time from remote, by only one modem card and one phone line.
