2 2 Ultra-Low Freezers Queue Advantage ultra-low temperature freezers create stable -86 C, -50 C and -40 C storage conditions for long-term preservation of biologicals and other critical materials. All models built to meet or exceed UL, CUL, and CE criteria for safety and performance. Each model is designed with special features to provide a high level of performance and dependability such as: Tamper-resistant microprocessor controls with touchpad function to resist tampering. Extra-large multiple function digital displays that are easy to read. Alarm/monitor systems for protection. Powerful, quiet-running refrigeration systems. A wide selection of chest and upright cabinets feature interior volumes ranging from 90 to 691 liters. Microprocessor Controls The Advantage microprocessor controller delivers information on available line voltage, battery reserve and charging capacity, setpoints, airflow across the filter and more. Internal probes and sensors accumulate and compare numbers on temperatures, pressures, voltage and amperage. An RS-232 data port includes software to log information onto a PC.

Alarm/Monitor System The built-in safety alarm system has an automatic, continuous charging battery backup to provide full function performance in case of a power failure. Tamper-proof key switch locks alarm in ON or OFF mode. Independent high and low alarm setpoints are adjustable in 1 C increments. Alarm activates an audible and visual warning on power failure or temperature deviation. Data entry pads for operating temperature, overtemperature and undertemperature parameters. Low battery indicator advises when to replace long-life, self-charging alarm system battery. 4 Basic Ultra-Low Freezers Queue Basic ultra-low freezers are designed for-86 C storage, processing and testing. The Basic solid-state electronic control system allows simple, accurate control with a pre-set alarm. Basic Solid-State Electronic Control System The Basic control panel is designed primarily for temperature setpoint and display with the added advantage of a pre-set alarm. Overtemperature alarm with audible warning is factory pre-set at 90% of selected operating temperature setpoint. Key-operated on/off switch controls main power; the freezer cannot be turned off unless the key is inserted. Temperature control adjustment is recessed to prevent tampering. Large, easy-to-read digital display indicates both setpoint and actual temperature at the push of a button. Built-in voltage boost system helps protect refrigeration components by automatically compensating for insufficient line voltage. Simplified controls include a key-operated on/off switch and bright LED temperature display. Cascade Refrigeration System Air-cooled refrigeration systems feature CFC-free refrigerants and are engineered to maintain design temperatures in 32 C ambient setting. The -86 C refrigeration system includes two 1 HP compressors; -50 C and -40 C models use a single compressor. A washable condenser intake filter maintains peak operating efficiency. The filter is easy to clean; no tools are required for removal. A noise suppression design minimizes normal operating sound. Chest Models The low profile chest design provides easier access to the inventory system. The fully insulated, counterbalanced lid with keyed lid lock improves security (key lock not available on 90 liter model, padlock provision provided). Independent, double-seal gaskets with sub-lids reduce frost buildup and provide additional protection. A full length lid handle is. Low height cabinets (197 cm including casters) allow for easy installation and movement of freezer through doors, hallways and lifts. The insulated outer door with keyed lock forms a positive seal for added inventory security (2 keys provided). Integrated door and latch assembly allows for easy right-or left-hand operation. Padlock provision is on all upright models. Five insulated inner doors minimize cold air loss during door openings. Four stainless steel interior shelves make efficient use of interior space (three are adjustable, one is fixed). Cabinet Construction Chest and upright cabinets are insulated with a minimum of 12.5 cm foamed-in-place urethane insulation to protect the stored product from high ambient temperatures. The 100% steel cabinet includes a high-impact epoxy finish for easy cleaning. A 25 mm diameter access port is pre-positioned in each cabinet. High-strength casters are included for easy installation. 4
