7 HMX2 LDR GRID MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING: THIS LIGHT FIXTURE IS DESIGNED FOR INSTALLATION IN A T-GRID-TYPE SUSPENDED CEILING. THE FIXTURE MUST BE SUSPENDED FROM STRUCTURAL MEMBERS OF THE BUILDING ABOVE THE CEILING GRID. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERSON INSTALLING THE LIGHT FIXTURE TO ENSURE THAT THE MATERIALS, HARDWARE AND BUILDING STRUCTURAL MEMBERS THAT ARE SELECTED WILL SUPPORT THE LIGHT FIXTURE(S) AND THAT THEY MEET ALL APPLICABLE BUILDING AND SAFETY CODES. MUST be installed by qualified electrician. ALL LIGHT FIXTURES ARE 100% BENCH TESTED BEFORE LEAVING OUR FACTORY. Note: This luminaire is typically sold as a set of 2 fixtures, designed to be installed slightly above and beyond the foot of the patient bed, to provide optimum, unobstructed illumination at the appropriate locations. The installation includes 2 fixtures and one wall control. The luminaire set is also available as a single fixture, in which case there is only one light fixture to install, and one wall control. STEP 1 Fixture must be secured for plenum by others. Note: The fixture must be oriented with the electrical power box towards the hospital bed headwall to assure proper lens and control operation (see figure 1B). Attach support wires to fixture through housing as shown. Place fixture in 2 x 2 ceiling grid opening, maintaining adequate support for fixture. Securely attach upper ends of support wires/chains to building structural members above fixture, putting some tension in wires. Alternately, up to 3/8 diameter rods can be used to support fixture using the four (4) knockouts provided near the four corners.
