With this PCB a lift is able to (re-)level with open doors. Another relevant feature is detecting the uncontrolled movement of the car (UCM) while doors are open and keeping the lift out of service after detection of an UCM event. When re-leveling is used MSTB can detect UCM. UCM is detected when the door bridging circuit SFA, SFB, SFC, RSB opens. ïhe safety line is open and main contactors are de-energized. So the motor and drive are stopped and the valves or the brake are de-energized. The controller used in the lift must take care of the other additional features and items related to UCM, such as monitoring the functionality of the machine brake, monitoring the functionality of safety valves, keeping the lift out of service after detection of an UCM event and/or proper operation of the MSTB board. The MSTB board is just the safety circuit, no programming of special functions is possible. The detection distance is reliant to the door zone length of the magnets used. Normally this length will be about 150 mm. ln case that a door zone is required to be less to decrease the reaction distance, the door zone can be shortened (this will lower the functional distance for pre-opening of the doors). The MSTB is based on Aybey SDB board. An EU{ype examination certificate is issued for SDB and can be applied 100% to MSTB. Limits of use and safety components used can be found in the SDB EU{ype examination certificate and Annex NL Gonditions On this certificate the conditions of EU-type examination certificate SDB apply. See Annex NL which is part of this certificate. 3. Conclusions The MSTB board is applied as part of the UCMP safety component according the definition of the Lifts Directive. MAES Steuerungstechnik becomes the dístributor of the MSTB board and responsible for the proper selection and installation. The EU{ype examination is executed for the SDB board which is in complete conformity with the MSTB board. The EU declaration of conformity will be issued for the SDB board by Aybey, which is also the manufacturer of the MSTB board and shall therefore label the board accordingly. olft NST TUUT B.V. The type-examination certificate is only valid for products which are in conformity with the same specifications as the type certified product. The type-examination certificate is issued based on the requirements that are valid at the date of issue. ln case of changes of the product specifications, changes in the requirements or changes in the state of the art, the certificate holder shall request Liftinstituut B.V. to reconsider the validity of the type-examination certificate.
