3 Preface Dear Customer, Thank you for purchasing this radio-controlled vibration detector. You made the right decision in choosing this state-of-the-art technology, which complies with the current standards of domestic and European regulations. The CE has been proven and all related certifications are available from the manufacturer upon request. To maintain this status and to guarantee safe operation, it is your obligation to observe these operating instructions! In the event of questions, please contact your local specialist dealer. This radio-controlled vibration detector monitors vibrations. You can use it to monitor movable objects such as windows and doors. If a vibration above a predefined level is detected, it is signalled to a radio alarm station. Read carefully the notes and advice in these operating! instructions! If you do not follow these instructions, your guarantee claim becomes invalid! We can accept no liability for the consequences! No part of the product may be changed or modified in any way.

Open the casing by loosening the screw and then removing the cover. 2. Remove the PCB from the housing: Pull the PCB carefully away from the plastic clamps.

5 3. Fig. 1, Pos. 1: Positions of screws for fixing the housing 3.1. Hold the bottom of the housing at a suitable position Mark the screw positions for fixing. 4. Fix the housing rear to the marked position with two screws. The rear of the housing must lie flat on the surface so that the wall removal contact is closed. 5. Insert a battery. Check for correct polarity. 6. Replace the PCB in the housing. Learning 1. Switch your radio alarm equipment / radio receiver to learn mode. See the system instructions for advice on this. 2. Radio variant: Hold the tamper protection for the front panel / and the wall removal contact down with the finger and release it several time to trigger radio signals. IR variant: Point the LED of the radio-controlled vibration detector at the IR receiver of the radio extension (RFX). Now trigger the tamper contact of the detector. 3. Make sure that the vibration detector is recognised by your radio alarm equipment / radio receiver.

6 Setting the vibration detector There are various options for setting the vibration detector. Jumper A Sensitivity: The detector can be set to high or low sensitivity with jumper A. low high You can set the sensitivity range with the potentiometer (Fig.1, 4). Jumper B XXX: Multiple vibration mode If XXX is activated, the vibration detector sends an alarm after repeated vibrations. Off On Jumper C Calibration: Use this jumper to set the detector to calibration mode or normal operation. Calibrate detector Normal Jumper D LED: Use this jumper to activate/deactivate the LED of the detector. Off On

7 Adjusting sensitivity Connect jumper C. Note: If the detector battery is almost empty, the LED flashes continuously for calibration mode (Fig.1, 6). In this case, replace the battery. 1. Turn the potentiometer (Fig.1, 4) anticlockwise until it stops. The detector is now at the lowest sensitivity level. 2. Tap the sensor with your hand. Tap it hard enough to trigger an alarm. The calibration mode LED (Fig.1, 6) flashes 1x for a small vibration, 2x for a vibration that triggers an alarm and 3x for a strong vibration. 3. Adjust the potentiometer until the LED (Fig.1, 6) flashes 2x at every vibration in the sensitivity range. 4. Remove jumper A if the sensor does not register all vibrations in the desired sensitivity range. 5. Remove jumper C when you have set the sensor to the desired sensitivity. This puts the sensor into normal operating mode.

8 Changing the battery 1. Switch your radio alarm equipment to installer mode. 2. Open the housing of the vibration detector. 3. Replace the battery with one of the same type (CR 2 Lithium, 3V).
