2 THE PARTNERS FPANZ The Fire Protection Association NZ is the primary organisation which represents the fire protection industry in New Zealand. The Association liaises closely with relevant government departments and ministries and, has strong links with other building related associations. The Association has been operating now for nearly 40 years, and has grown significantly by representing more and more companies and organisations that work in the fire protection industry. Our membership base includes businesses that are involved in fire alarm manufacturing, fire alarm services, fire protection sprinkler industry, evacuation consultants, fire equipment distributors, insurance companies, fire engineers, the New Zealand Fire Service and Territorial Authorities. THE THEME Transforming the Fire Triangle: Design, Safety and Innovation. The FIRENZ 2015 Conference and Exhibition will showcase advanced cutting-edge practices in Fire Protection and Engineering used to protect people, property and the environment through design, safety and innovation IFE The Institution of Fire Engineers New Zealand Branch is part of an international learned body which was founded in 1918 and incorporated in New Zealand in 1924 with the following main objectives: To promote encourage and improve the science and practice of fire engineering, fire prevention and fire extinction, and all operations and expedients connected therewith. To give an impulse to ideas likely to be useful in connection with, or in relation to such science and practice to the members of the Institution and community at large. Membership of the IFE is drawn from a large cross section of the community, all with a common interest in fire engineering. Examples of organisations that members belong are NZ Fire Service, Airport Rescue Fire Service, Rural Fire Service, the Insurance Industry, the Building Industry, the Fire Protection Industry, Fire Engineering Consultants and organisations tasked with emergency incident management. SFPE The New Zealand Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers is the primary organisation representing the fire engineering professionals of New Zealand. SFPE NZ is the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand s (IPENZ s) Technical Interest Group for matters of Fire Engineering. The purpose of the SFPE is to advance the science and practice of fire protection engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high ethical standard among its members, to develop fire protection engineering guidelines and standards and to foster fire protection engineering education. In accomplishing this purpose, SFPE NZ has engaged in activities that are educational, scientific, charitable or promote the practice of fire protection engineering since SFPE NZ members include representatives of all sectors of the fire protection industry with an interest in the development, application and promotion of scientific and engineering methods to reduce the risks of unwanted fires. 3 THE VENUE The TSB Arena and Shed 6 are in the heart of Wellington City, making the conference an easy walk to from anywhere in central Wellington. Located at: 4 Queens Wharf, Wellington 601 PROMOTION The Conference and Exhibition will be promoted throughout New Zealand by extensive distribution of the conference registration brochure, through the FPANZ, IFE and SFPE websites and direct mail to IFE, FPANZ and SFPE members. It will also be promoted through IFE, SFPE and FPANZ publications. Specific invitations will be sent to contractors, engineers, architects and territorial authorities. You are welcome to extend specific invitations or request FPANZ to do this on your behalf ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS There are plenty of options for accommodation in Wellington that are a working distance from the TSB Arena, however please see the discounted options available for FPANZ Conference Delegates. 4 STAND COSTS, DIMENSIONS AND ALLOCATION INFORMATION All stands will be 3m x 3m constructed from black frontrunner panels. Each stand will be provided with two spotlights and one power point, one trestle table and one chair. We have 30 standard stands and 16 premium stands available. Please note that these stands are the ones marked in yellow on the floor plan in this brochure. Your membership discounts will apply to the stand prices below, however please note that if you are a member of more than one association, you can only claim one of the discount options. STAND UPGRADE PACKAGE includes, LED Lighting,Full size company sign along the front of stand. $500 per stand. All exhibitor catering will be provided 30 minutes before the conference, which will be held in the exhibition area. We advise that stand holders are at the stand 10 minutes prior to each break out. WEBSITE The FireNZ website will be operational with updates and information about FireNZ The website will be the means by which we keep delegates and exhibitors up-to-date with the event. The website can be accessed through either the FPANZ, IFE or SFPE websites. INTERNET ACCESS There is free Wifi within the venue, accessed by the click to agree pop up window in your browser. Wired internet is available for purchase. Please request this on the Event Service Order Form and the completed form to Positively Wellington at EXHIBITORS STAND COMPETITION Members vote on stands and content. Formal presentation award for best stand as voted by delegates. MARKETING OF THE PLANS All sponsors are recognised within the conference program at their chosen level of engagement via presentation slides in the conference agenda. There will be associated marketing opportunities as the venue is created to customise banners within the conference venue and associated spaces, eg canteen areas /meeting areas. FireNZ will recognise sponsors at a variety of planned events throughout the conference program to ensure that visibility and acknowledgment is provided.
