12 Public Address Systems (SEASTEMI) MEEES offers the service for supply, install, testing and commissioning for marine approved public address and general alarm that use the latest technology for this purpose called Seastemi I.C.S. The Seastemi I.C.S. Public Address and General Alarm systems are specially designed for the stringent requirements of the marine industry, offshore oil and gas markets. The system is modular and can be tailored to individual needs, as far as both design specifications and budget are concerned. The PA/GA application is a critical system with respect to Personnel safety and shall, during an emergency situation, be fully operational to allow safe evacuation of the facility, therefore a field proven design shall be provided. Usually, their effects are irreversible. The introduction of invasive marine species into new environments by ships' ballast water, attached to ships' hulls and via other vectors has been identified as one of the four greatest threats to the world's oceans. In 2004, IMO adopted the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments, which will phase in requirements for ballast water treatment over the coming years.
