2 Intrusion Detection Optical Fiber Net Diamond shape fiber optic NET has been made from heavy duty military tactical outdoor fiber single mode, KEVLAR reinforced. This fiber is acting as a continuous sensor so that if there were any attempt of climbing, crawling and breaking of NET the intrusion alarm will be raised. To give more stable operation, this fiber optic net is designed to be unaffected by weather, harsh environments, corrosion or UV radiation. 4 Intrusion Detection Triggering Fixtures For the complete intrusion detection, upper and lower trigger units will be installed together with optical fiber net. Upper trigger would be installed into existing Y-type picket of the fence or block wall to support optical fiber net and to detect intrusion action. Lower trigger can be installed at the bottom of fiber optic NET. When the intruder is attempting to climb or lifting for crawling, The upper and lower trigger will activate to alarm the intrusion. In the sensing area, only optical fiber and mechanical triggering device is used to be immune to noise, radio frequencies, electromagnetic or electrostatic fields even lighting and thunderstorms. Optical Fiber Net "Fiber Hunter'' Triggering Fixtures For the complete intrusion detection, upper and lower trigger units will be installed together with optical fiber net. Triggering Fixture "Fiber Hunter'' Detection System OTDR based detection system is directly connected to the optical fiber installed in perimeters. This detection system can be installed in central office or outdoor cabinet with climate control(mostly heater). In one shelf of the detection system with 2U height, up-to 4 detection cards consisted with 4- optical port or up-to 2 detection cards consisted with 16-optical port can be installed. For standard installation, length of 50 m fiber optic net will be installed for each optical port of the detection card. The detection system is connected with Ethernet line to the server which the Detection software is installed. Triggering Fixture "Fiber Hunter'' Detection Software This software is designed to detect any intrusion action in all environmental situation. Depending on the environmental situation of the optical fiber net installed, false alarm might be generated, but with the software parameter changes, false alarm can be eliminated virtually for all environmental situations like sand/snow storm, typhoon, microburst, sudden temperature changes and etc. Easy to use GUI-based software will give best way of intrusion detection, system diagnostics, finding fault point for maintenance, and system report for operation. Height of optical fiber net can be adjusted by cascading unit width vertically. Detection system is consisted with one or more shelves with PSU(Power Supply Unit) and detection card. Two PSU unit can be plugged into one shelf to support hot-pluggable dual power. Detection card is two-kinds. One is with 4-port, and the other is 16-port for detection. In standard configuration, each port can cover the length of 50 meter perimeter length. Each detection card is connected with 10/100 Ethernet connection to communicate with server where the detection software is installed.
