Senior Staff conducted their weekly meeting on Tuesday, July 19 th at Headquarters Station 31. AC Gerber attended the Washington Fire Chiefs Regional Fire Authority Stakeholder Group meeting on Thursday, July 21 st at WFC in Olympia. This Week: Senior Staff will hold their weekly meeting on Tuesday, July 26 th at Headquarters Station 31. Administrator Robertson will attend the project kick-off for the Environmental Park Boardwalk project on Tuesday, July 26 th. AC Gerber will attend the Zone 3 Operations Chiefs Meeting on Tuesday, July 26 th at Valley Communications Center. On Wednesday, July 27 th, Administrator Robertson will attend the Washington Fire Chiefs Legislative Committee meeting at the WFC office in Olympia. Administrator Robertson will attend the Valley Communications Center (VCC) Operating Board Meeting on Thursday, July 28 th, at VCC.

2 AC Gerber will attend the Capital Facilities Project meeting on Thursday, July 28 th at the Station 34 construction site. The monthly Labor Management Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 28 th at Headquarters Station Requests for Services / Customer Service: Aid Call: (Lea Hill) On Monday, July 18 th at 4:57 p.m., firefighters assisted an adult female with bites from an aggressive raccoon. Firefighters examined and treated the patient for a laceration on her leg. The patient was medically stable and was transported by private vehicle to an urgent care facility for further evaluation. CPR: (Auburn): On Tuesday, July 19 th at 2:52 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the Boeing facility for CPR being performed on an adult male. The Boeing Fire Department, VRFA firefighters, and King County Medics treated the patient. The patient was stabilized at the scene prior to being transported with a heartbeat to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC) via King County Medics. Aid Call: (Lakeland Hills) On Wednesday, July 20 th at 10:49 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to an elderly female with stroke like symptoms. Firefighters examined the patient, administered oxygen, and prepared her for transport to a local hospital by private ambulance. Aid Call: (Pacific) On Thursday, July 21 st at 2:35 p.m., firefighters assisted an elderly male who had fallen out of a seat on a Metro bus. The person was uninjured and left to continue his journey. Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, July 22 nd at 9:19 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a police request to examine a teen age patient whom had consumed ''Spice'' or synthetic marijuana. Firefighters examined the patient and it was determined that further evaluation and treatment would be required due to the exam findings. The patient was transported to a local hospital by private ambulance. Aid Call: (Algona) On Saturday, July 23 rd at 5:54 p.m., firefighters responded to a young woman with a rapid heart rate. Firefighters and King County Paramedics evaluated and stabilized the patient and she was transported to ARMC by King County Medics. Aid Call: (Auburn) On Sunday, July 24 th at 9:30 a.m., firefighters provided assistance to an unresponsive male. The male was evaluated by

3 firefighters and paramedics and was transported to ARMC by VRFA firefighters. Inspections included eight (8) in Auburn, one (1) in Pacific and zero (0) in Algona. Staff attended one (1) Pre-Application meetings: One (1) Auburn, zero (0) Pacific and zero (0) Algona. Interagency pre-application meeting, agency location and name withheld by Auburn staff Staff completed five (5) business license reviews. Staff completed twelve (12) annual inspections, twelve (12) in Auburn, zero (0) in Pacific and zero (0) in Algona. FMO staff met to analyze documents and data currently stored within the VRFA network for purging and moving to libraries within the Intranet. Fire Marshal Stottlemyre attended monthly Accreditation Category Managers Meeting.

5 FMO staff met with Network Administrator Smith to discuss final issues associated with the Mobile RMS program. Though staff will continue to meet and address outstanding issues, the program is officially active and being used. This program allows FMO inspection staff to utilize electronic Notebooks to conduct inspections, which is designed to streamline current inspection processes. Public Education PIEO Staff conducted a Fire Stoppers Intervention with a teenage female referred by a caregiver. PIEO Staff attended a regional PIO meeting at the King County ECC. Training was conducted on the use of Twitter, Facebook and Flicker for government organizations. Station 31 crews installed a new smoke alarm battery for a senior citizen unable to do so in North Auburn. PIEO Staff attended planning meetings for a regional workshop on the transport of pediatric patients. Facebook updates were posted. Station 31 crews conducted a station tour for a group of children from a YMCA summer program. Fire Investigation: During this reporting period, the South King Fire Investigation Task Force (SKFITF) responded to two (2) calls for service in the VFRA response area. Incendiary was the cause determination of a garbage can fire at a house under construction in NE Auburn. Unattended cooking was the cause of a pan fire at a Pacific residence. Planning and Logistics: Repair work on the Fire Station 32 roll-up doors is now complete. Fire Station 34 s incoming electrical power has been restored to normal and circuits routed back to their original electrical panels.

6 Advanced Safety conducted their annual fire extinguisher inspections and maintenance. Owner installed equipment for Lea Hill Fire Station 34 continues this week with the installation of the bunker gear grids, bunker gear extractor and drying cabinets, and kitchen and laundry appliances.
