Approval of the minutes from the January 11 th, 2017 Draft Development Meeting (Attachment A). VI. Recap on items covered to date. VII. Recap on the draft development schedule for 2017 (Attachment B). VIII. Materials provided by other SDOs at the January 11 th, 2017 Draft Development Meeting. (These items will be provided separately once appropriate arrangements have been made.) IX. Review of the current NFPA 2400 draft and comments provided by committee members. (Committee members who provided comments will be asked to speak to proposed changes.) X. Any proposed revisions to committee title and scope based on the current draft of NFPA XI. Other business. Minutes approved from the November 1 st, 2016 Conference Call Recap on items covered during the November 1 st, 2016 Conference Call Presentation by ASTM & UL SDOs supporting the UAS field NFPA Staff will provide presentations separately to the full committee Presentation on How to write an NFPA Standard provided X. NFPA 2400, target objectives of the meeting reviewed XI. SharePoint and Task Group Reports not covered due to meeting progress XII. Recap on the draft development schedule for 2017 XIII. XIV. XV. XVI. Other information and resources provided Through a unanimous meeting vote, the committee requested NFPA Staff explore the possibility of a revision cycle of one year or less. The technology associated with UAS is moving at an accelerated speed and the current three to five-year revision cycle offered by NFPA was viewed as too slow. The committee requests the NFPA Standards Council examine a faster revision cycle to allow the standard to remain relevant based on the pace of technological advancements in the UAS field. Next meeting confirmed for May 7 9, 2017 in Dallas, TX. (Note: A meeting notice has already been distributed.) Meeting adjourned on January 13 th, 2017 at 1:35 pm (ET)
