10 UL 1993 Overview Standard issued in September 1993 and was primarily for fluorescent self-ballasted lamps and lamp adapters. 3 rd Edition issued in August scope changed to cover self-ballasted lamp and lamp adapters but expanded to include: incandescent, fluorescent, HID, and light emitting diode (LED) - Harmonized with CSA. UL/CSA Does not apply to Exit Signs Covers all requirements for the standard self ballasted lamp - includes previous requirements from UL specifies minimum spacings. New Test Requirements for Temperature Test. Different test box sizes. 10
