When developing new detection programs we use electromagnetic responses from real guns and knives. This enables us to develop reliable detection programs. ENHANCED SECURITY When designing METOR detectors we never compromise your security. Therefore, to guarantee tamperproof and continuous operation, the switches, cables and connectors in the METOR 300 are built-in, and the remote control unit can be locked inside the crosspiece or kept in the possession of authorized persons only. The remote control unit operation is secured with passwords and a code hopping encryption algorithm to prevent unauthorized access to the detector s parameters. The On/Off switches can be accessed with or without a key. STATISTICS Intelligent traffic and alarms counters calculate the traffic flow and resultant alarms. The counters both increment and decrement, thereby giving a true traffic count. EASY AND FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION The METOR 300 s integrated construction means that it can be easily installed or dismantled by one person. To further make the installation easier and more flexible, the METOR 300 has only one cable connection between the electronics unit and the panels. A power inlet can be used from the bottom or the top of both panels. When needed, the METOR 300 can be fixed to the floor through floor mounting holes in the panel boots. 5 FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE SUPERBLY FINISHED DESIGN The METOR 300 is a second generation true multi-zone metal detector with new advanced features. It offers superior performance for demanding high security applications. The METOR 300 utilizes an intelligent 8Z8F architecture that includes an overlapping new multi-zone coil system, combining the unique true multi-zone features with frequency distribution technology. This offers a stateof-the-art performance in metal detection and enables unbeatable detection uniformity for metal threat objects regardless of their shape and orientation. The operating frequency distribution eliminates electromagnetic interference present at installation environments today. Together with effective digital signal processing it offers excellent interference immunity. METOR s unique multi-zone principle Superior discrimination due to eight independent detection zones. Multiple threat objects are independently detected in different zones and therefore signals from harmless distributed objects do not combine to produce unnecessary alarms. Independent detection zones make it possible to freely adjust each zone to meet your security needs. Overlapping zones ensure uniform detection that guarantees reliable detection of threat items regardless of object(s) orientation. The METOR multi-zone detectors are equipped with a zone display that identifies the regions where the object(s) are located. METOR s true multi-zone operation means that even without the zone display METOR detectors function as a multi-zone detector. INNOVATIVE BI-DIRECTIONAL USER INTERFACE All parameters are set through a bi-directional remote control unit that enables the copying of the parameters from one unit to other units. This control unit, unique only to METORs, makes it fast and easy to program several detectors. The menu structure resembles that used in mobile phones and is therefore already familiar to many users. Help texts in the menu further facilitate the operations. The user interface has two user levels: User and Superuser. The METOR 300 has a memory bank, making it possible to store customer specific parameter settings. The METOR 300 comprises modern technology and innovation and its appealing design adapts to even the most demanding environments. Zone displays and traffic lights The METOR 300 can be equipped either with one or two integrated zone displays. These identify the level(s) at which detected object(s) are carried. This enables security personnel to immediately target metal objects and ensures that maximum throughput can be maintained in high traffic locations. The other side of the METOR 300 is equipped with traffic lights (green and red) indicating when the passenger can pass through the gate. Display unit The METOR 300 display unit can be mounted on all four sides of the detector. This improves flexibility in installation and when operating the unit. The display unit has a 2x20 character alphanumerical display. It gives information on how to operate the unit, and also functions as a signal level indicator. Both sides of the display unit have LED bars showing the zone display indication. This increases the visibility of the zone display information. The METOR 300 display unit can be provided with a keypad. Integrated boots The METOR 300 s integrated boots protect the coils from floor washing liquids and scuffmarks. The boots have no effect on the usability of the floor-level zone display.
