1 RESOLUTION 15-R-211 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MARION COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING FEE SCHEDULES FOR CONSTRUCTION PERMITS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Board ofcounty Commissioners ofmarion County, Florida is authorized to establish fees pursuant to Marion County Ordinance No ; and WHEREAS, the Board desires by this Resolution to amend fees for the administration and enforcement of said Ordinance. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Florida: SECfION 1. MINIMUM FEES ANDREQUlRED DEPOSITS. Thereshall be a minimum permit feeof$430.00fornewresidential andcommercial projects. Minimum fees forpermits withoneinspection and noplanreview shall be$63.00 andpermit withoneinspection anda planreview shall be $ Allpermit applications mustinclude a deposit (non-refimdable) which will be credited to thecostofthepermit Deposit fees shall be $ fornewcommercial permits, $ fornew residential permits and$50.00 forallotherpermits. lao SfATE OF FLORIDA SURCHARGES (DCAand DBPR) DCA: 1.5 Percent of all base building permits fees - $2.00 minim um (DCA: Department of Community Affairs- FloridaStatute553.71) DBPR: 1.5 Percent of all base building permit fees - $2.00 minimum (DBPR: Department of Business& Professional Regulation - Florida Statute ) lb. WORKING WITHOUT A PERMIT PENALTY FEE: Work started on a building structure, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to a penalty of 100% ofthe usual fee in addition to the required permit fees (Section Florida Building Code 5 th Edition). Permits must be posted on the jobsite during the progress of all work. SECfION2. CONSTRUCTION PERMITFEES. Permit fees fornewconstruction projects shallbe calculated based uponthetotalsquare footage underroofapplicable to construction, plusa base fee.

2 Each 'Permit Type' has a standard inspectionload which includesthe minimum inspectionsrequired by code. Inspections addedto thepermit's standard inspectionloadshallbe $25.00each. All other fees shall be chargedas specifically listedhereinto includeany additionalfees required by the scope ofworkfor a specificproject. Defmitions: REMODEL - the refurbishing, rebuilding or reconstruction ofan existing structure. ADDITION - to build, construct or add square footage to an existing structure (habitable or non-habitable) LOW VOLTAGE ALARM SYSTEM - Burglar Alarm or Smoke Detection Systems (Hard-wired systems require a permit) 2A.
