8 New Run Card Format Is a Combined Form covering both Fire & EMS. Single Run Card Form Submission. Single Combined Run Card Number. Coordination on combined responses.
9 Changes from original Fire Run Card Form Structure Fire With Entrapment added. More Rescue Type Incident Categories added. Added a Section to List the Public Utilities that cover the area. EMS Order Due Page now part of the form.
10 Single Run Card Number Combination of Municipality number, Fire Company number, EMS Company number and an Identifying number.
11 Run Card Requirements The first due is the Home Company or a Unit of the Home Company The use of Company will be for the department that is first due only Anything dispatched beyond first due Company/Unit will be Unit Based.
12 Run Card Requirements Continued Structure Fire goes to 7 th Alarm and all 7 Alarms are required. Brush Fire goes to 7 th Alarm and all 7 alarms are required. All other incident types can go to 4 th Alarm and minimum of 2 nd alarm is required. When a Company is first due, the company should establish their second alarm to cover the first due company; this would be in the event that the first due company fails to respond
13 Structure Fire Added a 1 st and 2 nd Alarm Level for a Structure Fire with Entrapment. Contains Columns for Standbys and Relocates. The Type and Quantity of EMS units must be filled out. (2BLS, 1ALS)

15 Structure Fire with Entrapment Notes 1 st Alarm requires a minimum of 1ALS for an EMS unit. A 2 nd Alarm is included in case the 1 st Alarm is increased and it requires changes at the 2 nd Alarm Level. 3 rd Alarm goes to the normal Structure Fire 3 rd Alarm.
16 RIT Information RIT is Unit Based. List the Unit followed by RIT when used on Pages 1 through 3. This easily identifies the unit is being dispatched for RIT and not for it s normal function. Example: R7RIT

36 Difference between QRS column and Medical Assist field Anything in the QRS column is automatically dispatched on any type of incident. The Medical Assist field is for specifying specific EMS call types, and at what point a medical assist is dispatched.
37 List the number(s) of the Call Type and what response level a Medical Assist is dispatched. For a CARDARST and RESPARST A Medical Assist is dispatched initially. For a CHOKING and CLASS5 A Medical Assist is dispatched when 3rd due or greater BLS/ALS is dispatched.
