Authority Having Jurisdiction. (Fire Hydrants and Water Mains) are to be installed, flushed and under pressure before any combustible construction is started. Gwinnett County Ordinance For Fire Protection And Life Safety, Section 46-38(a). (Fire Hydrants) in Single Family Residential shall be spaced no more than 450 ft. apart. Georgia If an (Accessible Route) has less than 60 inches clear width, then passing spaces at least 60 inches by 60 inches shall be located at reasonable intervals not to exceed 200 ft. A T - intersection of two corrdors or walks is an acceptable passing place. Rule (4). Georgia Accessibility (Objects) projecting from walls, (for example, telephones) with their leading edges between 27 inches and 80 inches above the finished floor shall protrude no more than 4 inches to walks, halls, corridors, passage ways, or aisles. (Plans) for retail Self-Service gasoline operations shall be reviewed and permitted by the Georgia State Fire Marshal's Office Hazardous Material Section and a copy of the approvals shall be provided before final Certificate of Occupancy is issued. The plans on the CD shall bear the seal of an engineer, or a letter of authenticity. The CD should be in PDF or TIF format submitted in a jewel case. NOTE: Any revisions to the approved plans will require a revised CD for our records. (FYI) Please be advised that in order to keep our records current it has become standard procedure for the Engineering Plan Review Unit to purge files regularly. If there is no action toward addressing the review comments within the (6) month period following the initial review of this submittal, this review file will be discarded. (FYI) If the Structure only has restrooms and a pump room or storage room, no plan approvals or inspections are needed by this office. (FYI) Town Homes, separated by a (2) hour fire barrier, will be considered single family residential. This office requires no permits or inspections. Exception: This shall not apply to private driveways giving access from a public way to three or less buildings totaling a maximum of 500,000 square feet. (FYI) The (Minimum Water Main) size may be 6 inch from the point the main is tapped until is ends, if the distance is not more than 50 feet. Gwinnett County Ordinance For Fire Protection And Life Safety, Section 46-43(d). Provide (Minimum Vertical Clearance) of 114 inches at accessible passenger loading zones and along at least one vehicle access route to such areas from site entrance(s) and exit(s). At parking spaces complying with (e)(2), provide minimum vertical clearance of 98 inches at the parking space and along at least one vehicle access route to such spaces from site entrance(s) and exit(s).
