To turn on the unit, press. The unit starts to operate automatically according to the temperature read by probe BDPT and according to the temperature control logic. Even if the temperature read by the probe reaches the value requiring start-up of the compressor, start-up still depends on the set delay interval as entered on the electronic controller (see paragraph 1.6 Description of settings and parameters ). On start-up, the display shows the message (see paragraph Display ) to indicate a high dew point temperature, and when the unit reaches operating conditions the text is displayed. The icon indicates compressor operation. In the event of sudden power failure when the unit is running, the unit will resume operation automatically when the power is restored according to the procedure described above. The electronic controller can be programmed with the unit ON or OFF. 7 OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL Digital input polarity The polarity of the digital input depends on the parameter : =: active on contact closed; =: active on contact open. 1.3 Compressor The compressor relay is activated to maintain a set temperature as established by the set point. Hysteresis is added automatically to the set point. If the temperature increases and reaches the set point plus hysteresis value, the compressor is activated, to then be shut down when the temperature returns to the set point value.. Temperature SET + HY SET Time Compressor ON In the event of a probe fault, activation and deactivation of the compressor output are managed according to time intervals set via the parameters and. These parameters are set by default at 0. When one of these values is modified the support variable is set to Compressor operating hours alarm The controller memorizes the compressor operating hours. It is also possible to set a threshold value for the operating hours in the relative parameter. When the operating hours exceed the set threshold, an alarm message is displayed to notify the user of the need for prompt routine maintenance intervention (alarm ). The alarm message does not shut down the unit. On completion of routine maintenance, the operator must reset the compressor operating hour counter timers. To reset the compressor operating hours alarm, press ; the device displays the message, and after 2 seconds the text starts flashing. This resets the alarm. 1.4 Condensate drain There are two modes for managing the condensate drain, selectable via parameter : = : timed; = : fixed TIMED condensate drain In the timed condensate drain mode, the relay is energized cyclically: with the compressor off, each interval for a period equal to, or for a period equal to with the compressor on. Solenoid valve status Solenoid valve ON Solenoid valve OFF When the unit is started by means of the main power switch, the condensate drain solenoid valve is energized and thereafter the relay will be energized cyclically.

8 6 OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL FIXED condensate drain If the unit is equipped with capacitive condensate drain ID, parameter must be set to (fixed).
