1 2018 Merion Elementary Plant Sale Pre-Order Spring is finally here and the Merion Plant sale with veggies, herbs, annuals, perennials and some house plants is just two weeks away. Some of the listed plants are preorder only while supplies last, so don't miss out! Please fill out the 2-page pre-order form and return with payment by Monday, Apr. 30. Pickup during sale hours: May 9,10 from 9am to 6pm May 11 from 9am to 4pm. Thank you for your support! Small flowering trees 2-3' (2 gallon) $20 Flowering dogwood (Cornus florida) tree is perfect for the home landscape. Sun, part-sun, partial shade. Spring blooming (see pictures above), in the fall red berries eaten by birds. Japanese snowbell tree (Styrax japonicus) has fragrant white flowers in spring.

2 Flats of Flowers - Annuals 32 plants per flat - $20/flat, $11/half-flat Ageratum Fluffy blue flowers, add the desirable blue color to your garden, even if it is partially shaded. Sweet Alyssum (white) A delicate carpet of tiny flowers with a subtle, sweet fragrance. Wax Begonia (colors may vary) T hrive in partial sun and shade and work just as well in the flower border as they do in pots, planters, and window boxes. Coleus (colors may vary) Entire plants glow with color, from soft and elegant to deep, bold tones-perfect for shady yards, gardens and terraces. Vinca (colors may vary) Abundant blooms and ease of care make vinca an excellent selection if you have little time to tend your garden. Will grow in full sun, but they prefer some shade. Blue Lobelia Low maintenance. Part shade, shade or sun. Marigolds (colors may vary) Plant them also with your veggies for pest control - they repel aphids, Mexican bean beetles, squash bugs, thrips, tomato hornworms, and whiteflies. Petunia (colors may vary) Thrives in well-drained soil in full sun. Petunias can grow in partial shade with fewer flowers.

3 Red Salvia Offers scented foliage so deer and rabbits usually leave it alone. It flowers all summer long. Thrives in full sun. Snapdragon (colors may vary) Perform best when grown in full sun, although they will tolerate some light afternoon shade. Verbena (colors may vary) Long lasting blooms that perform during the hottest days of summer heat.
