Get the best start with Foundation Acre. Foundation Acre is the revolutionary agronomic growing practice based on the scientific discovery that corn plants can change their growth pattern at the earliest stages in development. When corn plants emerge and detect the presence of weeds, they immediately go into shade avoidance resulting in smaller plants with less leaf area and a reduced root system. With Foundation Acre, a pre-emergent application of Primextra II Magnum allows corn to emerge into a weed free field and direct all its energy into root biomass and leaf development. Post-emergent applications of Callisto or Touchdown Total ensure weed competition is kept at bay as crops move toward seed production. The result is more consistent ear size and more kernels per plant up to 32 extra kernels per plant, or 9.5 bushels per acre.

Syngenta Soybean Portfolio SEED VE VC V1 V2 R2 R3 R5 MATURITY Matador * Boundary Venture Cruiser Maxx Beans Reflex Quilt Touchdown Total ** *Threshold for Matador application is 250 aphids per plant (refer to OMAFRA recommendations). **Touchdown Total post-emergent is for GT Soybeans only. Protect your yield all season long When it comes to getting the best out of your soybean crops, a farmer instinctively knows that the right care, at the right time, makes all the difference. That means ensuring your soybean crops have the ability to protect themselves right from the seed stage with seed-treatment options like Cruiser Maxx Beans and with preemergent herbicides like Boundary which help provide early weed protection for your crop through its most vulnerable stages of growth. In addition, broadleaf weeds and grasses can be controlled with the help of Reflex and Venture respectively. But the protection doesn t stop there. For GT soybeans, Touchdown Total* is the ideal weed control tool while the insecticide Matador ** will deal with your aphid infestation that you might have in the course of the growing season. 12 Precautions: Do not use treated seed for food, feed or oil processing. Do not graze corn or cut for forage within 45 days of planting. Read product labels for personal protective equipment when treating or handling treated seed and for planting restrictions. Use Liquid for Enhanced Coverage Cruiser Maxx Potatoes seed piece treatment is a promotional combination of Actara 240SC insecticide and Maxim Liquid PSP fungicide and is the first product for potatoes that puts the power of a liquid seed treatment insecticide and fungicide into one convenient package. Key Benefits: Excellent activity against a broad spectrum of insect pests and potato diseases. Improved coverage on all sides of the potato for enhanced performance. Reduced worker exposure to dust treatments when using recommended equipment. Crops: Potatoes Insects: Colorado Potato Beetle Potato Leafhopper Green Peach Aphid Potato Aphid Buckthorn Aphid Foxglove Aphid 10

Diseases: Black Scurf, Stem and Stolon Canker (Rhizoctonia solani) Silver Scurf (Helminthosporium solani) Fusarium Dry Rot (Fusarium spp.) Rates: Apply no more than 11 ml of Actara 240SC per cwt (24.4 ml/100kg) of seed but check the label to ensure application rate based upon your seeding rate. Apply 2.4 ml of Maxim Liquid PSP per cwt (5.2 ml/100kg) seed. Application and Equipment Information: Cut seed is particularly vulnerable to excess moisture. Too much moisture will induce seed decay. Cruiser Maxx Potatoes has been designed to be delivered in a very low volume of liquid to ensure good coverage without increasing tuber decay. Cruiser Maxx Potatoes, delivered at a diluted volume of 120 ml/cwt (263 ml/100 kg) of seed, gives good coverage over the seed. Do not add excess water to the cut seed. Store cut seed at or below 7 C. Temperatures above 10 C promote soft rot in seed. Apply only in areas with adequate ventilation or in areas that are equipped to remove mist or dust. Seed loading onto the belt after cutting should be uniform. Do not overload. If there are several layers of seed under the hood, coverage will be erratic. Calibrate the output to the actual flow rate. If calibrated properly, there will be no liquid material dripping off of the roller table. 11

If the treated seed is to be stored or held for a few days, make sure that there is adequate cool air movement through the pile of cut seed potatoes at relative humidity of 85-90%. Cut and treated seed should not be piled above 1.8 m in height. Best results are obtained if potatoes are planted immediately after Cruiser Maxx Potatoes is applied to the seed. When transporting seed treated with Cruiser Maxx Potatoes, make sure the seed is covered. When treating cut seed, Cruiser Maxx Potatoes should be followed with a dust treatment to improve suberization. The use of a mancozeb dust formulation is recommended to reduce the potential for development of resistance by labeled diseases. This is particularly a concern in seed production where the risk of resistance is increased with consecutive seed generations. Avoid using excessively sprouted seed tubers for liquid seed treatment. Precautions: Refer to product label for product specific precautions and a list of personal protective equipment that must be worn when treating or handling treated seed pieces. Resistance Management Recommendations: For resistance management, note that Cruiser Maxx Potatoes contains a Group 12 fungicide. Any fungal population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Cruiser Maxx Potatoes and other Group 12 fungicides. A gradual or total loss of pest control may occur over time if these fungicides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but specific for individual 12

chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed. Some strains of Fusarium spp. that are insensitive to fludioxonil, the active ingredient in Cruiser Maxx Potatoes have been identified in Canada. If you are concerned about the management of Fusarium spp., it is recommended to use Maxim MZ PSP which contains a Group M3 fungicide. Do not use any subsequent application of other group 12 Fungicides or Group 4 Insecticides following treatment with Cruiser Maxx Potatoes. Give your crops the strength to protect themselves. Give your soybeans and edible beans the best possible start. PPI - Pre-plant incorporated. PRE - Pre-emergence EP - Early post-emergence from planting to 2-leaf corn. POST - Post-emergence up to 6-leaf corn Soybeans should be seeded at least 4 cm deep or crop injury may result. Do not apply Dual II Magnum if soybeans have emerged. See label for specific crop timing. Apply before weeds pass 2-leaf stage. Rates: L/ac. Rotation: Freedom to rotate to any crop the following year. 32

Fast, effective and flexible. Gramoxone fits your burndown needs by providing quick and reliable control of a broad spectrum of weeds, giving you consistent weed control under all conditions. Seed the day you spray as it deactivates upon soil contact so there s no residual activity. You can apply this flexible product alone for fast, effective burndown or mix with a residual herbicide for long-lasting control. Crops: Beans (all types) Blueberries (Highbush) Carrots Cole crops Corn Cucumbers Onions Apples, Apricot, Cherries, Peaches, Pears, Plums Potatoes Soybeans Strawberries And many more crops For Control Of: Numerous annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. 33

Rates in Potato Crops: Apply L/ac to control emerged Quackgrass, annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. Apply 0.6 L/ac to control emerged annual grass and annual broadleaf weed seedlings only. Grasses and weeds germinating after spraying will require cultivation for control. For dense weed growth, use the higher rate and the higher volume of water. Applications should be made with gal/ac of water. Potato Tank Mixes: For some uses, it is beneficial to tank mix with a residual herbicide to lengthen the period of control. Do not apply tank mixes after tops have emerged. Product* Rate of Application Gramoxone L/ac + Lorox L/ac + Sencor L/ac *Refer to the label of the residual herbicide used for specific rates. Timing in Potato Crops: Apply after weeds have emerged in the spring but before potatoes emerge beyond the following stages: Netted Gem (Idaho Baker, Russet or Burbank) and Cherokee, apply up to ground crack only (potato tops about to emerge). For other varieties, apply up to the time first potato tops have reached 5-8 cm in height. See label at SyngentaFarm.ca for rates specific to other crops. 34

Introducing a better glyphosate for your GT corn that gets the job done in one pass. Halex GT offers season-long weed control by combining the convenience of a glyphosate with the added benefit of broad-spectrum residual control. It tackles the toughest weeds, so with one pass, you can get the job done it s that easy. Crops: Glyphosate-tolerant Field Corn For Control Of: Broadleaf Weeds Emerged 1 Weed Control: Grasses American Nightshade Mustard (Wild) Barley (Volunteer) Buckwheat (Wild) Canola (non-glyphosate tolerant) Chickweed Cleavers Pigweed (Redroot, Smooth) Ragweed (Common) Shepherd s Purse Smartweed (Green, Pennsylvania) Barnyard Grass Crabgrass (Smooth, Hairy) Fall Panicum Cocklebur Sowthistle (Perennial) 3 Foxtail (Green, Yellow, Giant) Corn Spurry Stinkweed Quackgrass Cow Cockle Stork s Bill Proso Millet (Wild) Eastern BlackNightshade Tomato (Wild) Wheat (Volunteer) Flixweed Thistle (Russian) Wild Oats 35

Rates and Timing: Post-emergent from spike to 6-leaf stage of glyphosate-tolerant corn 1.7 L/ac*. * Use Agral 90 at 0.2% v/v 36

Tank Mixes: It is recommended that Halex GT be tankmixed with AAtrex. Product Rate of Application Halex GT 1.7 L/ac + AAtrex 0.23 L/ac* *Use Agral 90 at 0.2% v/v Application Information: For best results, apply Halex GT to actively growing weeds that are less than 15 cm in height. For protection of the corn crop s yield potential, apply Halex GT before the start of the critical period of weed control. Thorough coverage of emerged weeds is essential for effective control with Halex GT. Although weed competition is quickly halted, visual symptoms of dying weeds (discolouration) may take up to 2 weeks to appear depending on the weed species and growing conditions. Applications should be made with gal/ac of water. Rotation: Crop Recropping Guidelines. Winter Wheat Spring Wheat Alfalfa, Potato, Soybeans, Transplanted Tomato, White Beans All Other Crops Minimal Recropping Interval 4.5 months 10 months 11 months Bioassay 37

The minimum recropping interval is the time between the last application of Halex GT and the anticipated date of planting of the next crop. Precautions: Always use pedigreed (i.e. certified) glyphosate-tolerant corn seed. Corn that is not designated as glyphosate-tolerant will be damaged or destroyed by this treatment. Clean sprayer with household ammonia (containing 3% ammonia) at 1 L/100 L water. Peak performance plus crop safety. Excellent performance on a wide range of tough broadleaf weeds such as Velvetleaf and Wild Mustard. Peak Plus provides complete crop safety with a reduced rate of dicamba with residual weed control for extended activity after application. Crops: Field Corn Seed Corn Forage Sorghum Forage Millet For Control Of: Cocklebur Common Ragweed Lady s-thumb Lamb s-quarters 38

Redroot Pigweed Velvetleaf Wild Mustard Tank Mixes or Sequential Partners: Peak Plus after Dual II Magnum or Primextra II Magnum for postemergence broadleaf control following a foundation, pre-emergence grass treatment. Peak Plus with Ultim or Accent for one-pass post-emergence control. Timing: Apply between the 2- and 7-leaf stages of corn. Specific application timing is best determined by weed growth. In order to achieve optimum results, recommended timings are as follows: Weeds Controlled Recommended Leaf Stage Lamb s-quarters* 1-6 Redroot Pigweed* 1-6 Common Ragweed 1-8 Velvetleaf 1-6 Wild Mustard Emerged, prior to flowering Cocklebur 1-6 Lady s-thumb 1-4 Wild Buckwheat 1-6 *Including triazine-tolerant biotypes. 39

R Rates: 1 jug treats 10 acres. Rotation: See label at SyngentaFarm.ca for recropping guidelines. Precautions: Add a recommended non-ionic surfactant (e.g. Agral 90, Ag-Surf, Citowett Plus at 0.2% v/v). Clean sprayer with household ammonia (containing 3% ammonia) 1L of ammonia per 100 L of water. Give your corn crops the best possible foundation. Primextra II Magnum provides highperformance residual control of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds and Nutsedge with complete crop safety. Gain yield and performance benefits by protecting your corn crop before it sees a weed. Use Primextra for your Foundation Acre or in a tank mix with Callisto for one pass control, giving you all the benefits of early weed control and higher yield potential. Crops: Field Corn Seed Corn Sweet Corn For Control Of: Barnyard Grass Crabgrass (Smooth, Hairy) 40

Extended periods of dry weather following application may result in reduced Nutsedge control. Tank Mixes: Product SPP PPI PRE Early Post Post Rate of Application Primextra II Magnum L/ac + Callisto L/ac + Touchdown Total 0.72 L/ac Primextra II Magnum L/ac NEW + Touchdown Total 3, L/ac Primextra II Magnum can also be applied using liquid fertilizer as a carrier for surface pre-plant, pre-plant incorporated or pre applications. See label instructions for special mixing instructions with glyphosates. 1 This tank mix can be used on sweet corn or seed corn for the PRE timing only. 41

2 This rate is for Field Corn only and is intended to provide early season weed suppression through the critical crop establishment phase when used at the SPP, PPI or PRE timing. It should be used in a planned weed management program with a sequential post-emergent herbicide application. 3 Do not apply beyond 6-leaf stage of corn. 4 For use on Glyphosate Tolerant corn ONLY. Consult the label of the product to be tank mixed with Primextra II Magnum for specific instructions regarding broadleaf weeds, soil type variations, and rotational crops, grazing or other restrictions. Timing: Rates: Surface pre-plant (up to 30 days before planting). Pre-plant incorporated. Pre-emergence and early post-emergence (from planting to 2-leaf corn). Post-emergence (3- to 6-leaf corn) L/ac. Rotation: Freedom to rotate soybeans, white beans, corn, oats or barley the following year. Precautions: Primextra II Magnum is fully compatible with Touchdown Total. For all other glyphosates, a surfactant such as Agral 90 or Ag-Surf must be used at a rate of 0.5% v/v. Primextra II Magnum is registered up to the 6-leaf stage of corn. However, grasses beyond the 2-leaf stage will not be controlled by Primextra II Magnum treatment alone. 42

For tough to control perennial weeds in your field corn. 48 Pursuit* Venture L* *These tank mixes are for soybeans only. Timing: Apply at the early post-emergence 1- to 4-leaf weed stage (this is generally days after planting) when the main flush is complete. Do not apply more than once a season, or to any field two years in a row. Do not apply before the first trifoliate stage in the bean crop. Rates and Use Instructions: 0.4 L/ac. Use a minimum of 20 gal/ac of water and at a pressure of 245 kpa using flat fan nozzles. Use with the surfactant Turbocharge at 0.25% v/v of spray solution. Check adjuvant rate required when used in tank mix. Refer to label. Precautions: It is essential to achieve good coverage and ample penetration of the foliage. Apply when weeds are actively growing. Some bronzing, crinkling or spotting of soybean, dry edible bean and snap bean leaves may occur, but plants normally outgrow these effects with no adverse effects on maturity or crop yield. 46

It gets the job done right. Use Reglone for control of harvest timing to help deliver a quality crop at the right time. This will allow for easier harvest because desiccated plants pass through harvesting equipment easier. It also allows potato tubers to mature naturally, developing a thicker, more resistant skin while reducing disease transmission by stopping growth of potato tops, ultimately reducing the potential for tuber rot. Crops: Alfalfa Beans Adzuki (dry) Red kidney White Canola Carrots Cole crops (various) Corn Cucumbers Oats (corn spurry control) Onions Peas (field or dry) Potato (vine killing) Potatoes Red clover Soybeans 47

Turnips And many more crops For Control Of: Reglone will desiccate any green plant material, whether it is a crop, annual or perennial weed. Timing: Beans (white and red kidney beans, soybeans and adzuki beans) Spray at 80-90% leaf defoliation and when at least 80% of the pods have turned yellow. Harvest within a week or 7-10 days. This treatment does not mature beans nor does it lower moisture content of beans. Potatoes Spray at least 14 days before harvest. Best results are obtained after growth has passed its peak and adequate skin set has been established. A second application can be made 4-6 days after the first application. Application Information: Reglone is rainfast when dry and is effective in cool or warm weather. Fungicide may be added when making applications to potatoes. Use clean water. Activity is reduced by dirty spray or water or by dust on foliage. Desiccation will be enhanced by applications made under cloudy conditions or in evening after sunlight is reduced. 48

Adverse weather conditions such as rainfall, cool temperatures and high humidity will slow drydown. Germination of seed is not affected by Reglone for all crops which could go for seed sale. Precaution: Do note apply Reglone to potatoes during drought conditions, particularly when it is so dry that the tops wilt during the day. After such conditions, wait for at least 3 days after the soil has been thoroughly moistened by rain or irrigation. Rotation: Reglone is inactivated on contact with soil and therefore has no residual effect. Rates: Potato Rates* Rate of App. Application Method Water Volume L/ac Ground L/ac L/ac Followed by L/ac L/ac Followed by L/ac Ground Aerial L/ac 0.5 L/ac Ground L/ac Crop Condition Top growth light, little weed growth or top growth heavy and in early stage of maturity.
