2 The mission of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is to promote the establishment, growth, prosperity and retention of Hispanic businesses, and those entities, and persons that support them in the State of Maryland. 1 in 4 babies born in the US are Latino. Hispanic Business Growth rate is 15 times the national average from Hispanic-owned businessgenerated revenue is projected to exceed $661 billion this year an increase of $144 billion since Business Award Holiday Gala This year will be our fifth year hosting the Gala and we estimate about 300 business, community and government leaders to attend our main event of the year at the Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore, MD. There will be complimentary wine and beer through the entire evening. Our opening reception will feature delectable hors d oeuvres, followed by the awards ceremony during which you will enjoy a deliciously crafted three-course menu. The awards ceremony will feature the Chairman s Leadership Award, a keynote address by Baltimore City Mayor, Catherine Pugh, and the announcement of the winners of the MDHCC Business Excellence Awards in 9 categories.
