1 Fermob, Vlaemynck, Smart & Green an alliance forged to better serve professionals At this year s Equip hotel trade show, Fermob will be represented by three companies and three brands, meaning three stands. Fermob, the leading French manufacturer of colourful metal garden and outdoor furniture, Vlaemynck, a specialist with more than 5O years experience making parasols and furniture for hotel and restaurant professionals, and Smart and Green, a start-up from Grenoble driving innovation in LED lighting to create magical outdoor settings for professionals. Fermob, the market leader, has achieved 27 consecutive years of growth, and generates 48% of its turnover abroad. It started with metal furniture, and has grown to offer a more comprehensive range of furnishings for outdoor spaces. Hotel and catering industry customers, for whom Fermob has a special department, appreciate the quality of the products and services on offer, in particular the customisation options. For major clients and projects, Fermob formed a Special Projects department that has created exclusive collections for groups like McDonalds, Starbucks, and Veuve Cliquot.

2 METAL, FABRICS, AND TEAK In June 2O13, Fermob acquired Vlaemynck. Founded in 1965, this company has been making and repairing parasols, sunloungers, and furniture for the most beautiful beaches of the Côte d Azur for over 5O years. Vlaemynck is also the company that first brought teak furniture for hotel and restaurant terraces to France. Its range of 3OOO products are made in a 14,OOOOm² production and assembly facility in Macon, and it can boast a portfolio of some 15,OOO loyal hotel and restaurant customers. The finest palatial hotels in seaside resorts have placed their trust in the brand, which has taken on a whole new dimension under Fermob, with the addition of a design culture, master metalcraft, investment in industrial facilities, international experience, and expansion of the beach hire business. Its flair for innovation recently received official recognition at the International Bluetooth Summit in New York on 11 October, where it was featured among the 2O companies offering the best examples of the latest Bluetooth technology. 9 2017 Collection RIVAGE Designed by Vlaemynck and upholstered by the Lyon-based designers Aujourd hui ou Mardi, the Rivage range is set to keep growing in 2O17. NEW 2017 Characterised by its infinite modularity, it now comes with a new anthracite grey frame and bright blue flecked Natté fabric, it infuses the range with understated contemporary design, while remaining easy to maintain. Made from aluminium and with Sunbrella s Natté quality, it is a collection designed for the outdoors and one that can withstand any weather. 11 2017 Collection PILOTIS PILOTIS is the perfect embodiment of Vlaemynck s expertise across a range of fabrics: Batyline, aluminium and teak combine to form unique, timeless pieces with an ambience between land and sea. ALBERTO BASAGLIA AND NATALIA ROTA NODARI DESIGN The Italian architect and designer duo that is Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari began working together in 1997 when they joined forces to form the eponymous company. Receiving regular awards for their work, including a number of prizes (Young & Design in 1999, Good Design Award in 2OO7), in 2O13 the Castiglioni Foundation in Milan invited them to exhibit 15 years of their designs in a retrospective exhibition that received unanimous praise from the French and Italian press. In 2O15, they launched a brand new partnership with Vlaemynck, leaving their stamp on the Pilotis range. Pilotis is an extensive collection of dining and relaxation furniture for the garden, exclusively unveiled at the Maison & Objet trade show in September. This year, the designers were selected for the Compasso d el Oro, one of the highest honours in design, for a Vibiem product. PILOTIS was created in 2O16 when Vlaemynck and the Italian architects and designers Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari worked together for the first time. They were inspired by the bridges of boats when designing this range, as if an ode to the sea.
