1 Meauring & Order Guide SIMPLE STEPS TO A BRAND NEW VIEW Our meauring guide will take you through the tep you need to meaure your window. Jut a few imple meaurement are all you ll need and if you d like ome help, or have quetion, we are alway here to help.. Chooe inide or outide mount 2. Take the appropriate meaurement. Call or go online to order TIPS TO MAKE MEASURING MORE ACCURATE: Ue a metal meauring tape to enure accuracy. Meaure every window, even if they appear identical. Round down to the nearet one-eighth of an inch. If you re meauring more than one window in a, work through the from left to right. Label each window. Write down and label all meaurement. 2 Meauring Conideration for any Window Treatment Select Inide or Outide Mount INSIDE MOUNT Inide mounted hade are contained within your window frame. Many people prefer an inide mount becaue it provide a finihed, built-in look without covering the window molding; it i alo uggeted for the t layer of a layered. OUTSIDE MOUNT Outide mounted blind or hade are mounted on your wall or molding. They are often ued to make a window appear larger or to hide a le-than-attractive window, when window are not quare, or when there i not ufficient for inide mounting. Conideration In Chooing Inide Mount V. Outide Mount quarene FRAME DEPTH Inide Mount require adequate mounting depth within your frame. At leat 2" i enough for mot treatment. If your frame in t deep enough for the tyle you ve choen, you hould ue Outide Mount. See chart for Product Depth. OBSTACLES Check for any obtacle on your window, uch a handle or crank, that could interfere with your treatment operation with an Inide Mount. If there are uch obtacle, you hould conider Outide Mount. SQUARENESS For Inide Mount your window hould be quare, otherwie your treatment may not work properly or hang attractively. To check for quarene meaure diagonally in both direction. If meaurement differ by over /2", you hould ue Outide Mount. SURFACE ABOVE WINDOW Outide Mount require at leat 2" of flat urface above your window or on the window frame for mounting bracket. See chart for Recommended Overlap below. Uing a metal tape, meaure the area you want to cover, including any overlap on the urrounding wall. Remember you mut have at leat 2" of flat urface above the window opening to allow pace for mounting bracket. When you pecify Outide Mount (except for Roller or Solar Shade, or Illuion Shading) your treatment will be made to the exact ize you pecify (excluding trim). Roller, Solar and Illuion fabric will be approximately. " narrower than ordered. You can alo order the treatment wider to avoid light gap. Alo pecify any extenion bracket needed to clear handle, crank, etc. a one of your No Charge Option. See Product Stacking Height or Width on next page to determine the wall area your treatment will cover when fully open. Meauring & Order Guide If You Have Selected: INSIDE MOUNT STEP : Meaure the inide width at location, top, middle and bottom. Record the mallet of the meaurement. Thi i your ordering width. We make the neceary deduction (approximately /2"). Note: If you are ordering for a Roller or Solar hade, record only the top width. STEP 2: Meaure the height at location, left, middle and right ide. Record the longet of the meaurement. Thi i your ordering height. PLEASE NOTE: When meauring for an inide mount, do not add to the ize of your product for a tighter fit. It will not fit properly in your window. Product Depth MINIMUM DEPTH You ll need thi much unobtructed depth, including any handle, lock, etc., to Inide Mount that treatment. FLUSH MOUNT For the face of your treatment to be fluh with the wall, make ure your i the ame or greater than the Fluh Mount depth indicated on the chart. If You Have Selected: OUTSIDE MOUNT STEP : Meaure the outide width of the area you wih to cover. If pace allow we recommend adding overlap to reduce light, ee Recommended Overlap Chart below. Meauring for Hardware The rod width you pecify on your order doe not include the width of the finial on each end. Finial add 2" to 9 2" on each end, depending upon the tyle. HEIGHT SUGGESTIONS FOR PANELS+DRAPERIES VALANCE For panel tyle that will be ued a a top treatment or valance, we recommend approximately 0-20" for length. 2 SILL LENGTH A great choice for a window in a rece or above furniture, or for one that i opened frequently.
