2 Helping you beautify your home At Orange Bay Company, our professional stagers can help you add charm and distinction to any room. We ll work with the pieces you have in your home, often moving things from room to room to help you achieve the look you re after without having to spend a fortune. And as needed, we ll add pieces from Orange Bay Company s ever-changing inventory of previously loved furniture and accessories to add character to your rooms that reflects your personal style. We will also consult with you on ordering new pieces for your home if required. Here s a sampling of our past projects. Foyer Your home s entrance creates that all-important first impression of your living space for your visitors, and importantly for you. It should be designed to draw you in with a welcoming sense of warmth. Naturally it should be functional with a place to throw keys and coats but never cluttered. In this example, we took advantage of the home s amazing natural light and high ceilings by painting the walls in a warm neutral colour and fitting dramatic full-storey paned mirrors; perfect to reflect the light and perfectly placed to let you give yourself a final once-over before heading out the door. We replaced the undersized, matched white hall tables with dark wood pieces to complement the grains of the cedar doors and hardwood flooring, and added a useful bench seat. A new gallery wall makes use of the ceiling height and creates visual interest. It s a facelift that helped this grand foyer go from merely functional to phenomenal.

3 Living Room Your living room is the heart of your home; the place to relax with family and friends and to entertain guests on special occassions. Comfort should be the key ingredient, with a dash of formality thrown in. In these rooms, we warmed up and anchored the seating areas with area rugs floated over the existing hardwood. We also placed more interesting coffee tables that better suited the rooms dimensions and added occassional tables to fill the spaces and provide more surface area for accessorizing. Throws and cushions in jewel tones provide a pop of rich colour contrasting the neutral fabric and wall pallettes, and complementing the colours of the art and accessories placed throughout. In both staged rooms, we transplanted some of the clients existing furniture from other rooms to fill out the living room spaces and enhance the rooms functionality.

4 Living Room In this room, we edited the client s furniture, removing the less substantial pieces, and repositioned the sofa, chairs and television to create a more functional space for relaxing and entertaining. We similarly rehung the artwork and added accessories and an area rug to add layers of texture and colour to a neutral background. Master Suite The master bedroom is your private space, off limits to visitors and kids toys. For this client, we created a relaxing sanctuary in the large master by moving in some chairs and artwork they already owned, adding an oversized ottoman in a great burnt orange colour and painting the walls in a contrasting, cool tone. Cushions and accessories in complementary colours complete the look.

5 Kids Bedrooms Kids spend a lot of time in their rooms, playing, doing homework and relaxing. So, the little people in your life deserve stylish, soothing spaces to call their own. In the below examples, we edited the furniture adding, removing, moving and replacing as necessary to fit the scale of the rooms and create balance and flow. We added groupings of artwork and used more sophisticated paint colours for a grown up, yet kid-friendly look.

And we can usually do it by simply rearranging and supplementing the office furnishings you already have. In the above example, by warming up the walls with new paint, replacing the very officey coffee table with a more traditional piece, and adding antique artwork and occassional pieces, we created a more ecclectic, yet perfectly professional space for the clients, partners and employees of one of Bermuda s leading international law firms.
