8 FIREWATER GRILLE Duxton Hotel Perth, WA Project Scope Design documentation, joinery manufacture and fitout. Project Outcome The new Firewater Grille Restaurant and Bar at the Duxton Hotel boasts an impressive new cocktail bar, 156 seat restaurant, a 500 bottle temperature controlled wine room and a state of the art island kitchen with glass panelling and a fully ventilated German GIF ceiling. JBM Projects implemented the latest technology, materials and design techniques to deliver the five star, $2.5 million refurbishment in only six weeks, which is progressive for the industry. Jason from JBM worked closely with us to create a high quality design that incorporated the latest building materials and functionality to bring the Firewater Grille at the Duxton to life. Ross Sta. 12 TYPIKA ARTISAN ROASTERS Claremont, WA Project Scope Joinery manufacture and fitout. Project Outcome This project included the construction of a café, with seating for over 100 customers and views to a large industrial coffee roasting room. Additional facilities included a full commercial kitchen; large coffee bar to serve coffee, cold drinks and alcoholic beverages; new bathroom and shower facilities; a barista training room and administration office. We worked closely with hospitality specialists One Alliance Project Consulting who completed the design, drawings, and sourced the latest equipment for the project. JBM Projects worked with One Alliance Project Consulting to ensure the unique design could be bought to life. The design incorporated a lot of interesting and unusual recycled materials such as original polished concrete floor, sandblasted brick walls, large strand chipboard, patinacopper coloured leather bench seating, recycled floorboards salvaged from old squash courts, lighting made from glass chemist beakers, and recycled timber tables and bar fronts. To enhance the industrial feel, a new entrance was created from a decommissioned shipping container to provide an interesting first impression of the space. The design and fitout of our Café Typika Artisan Roasters in Claremont by One Alliance Project Consulting and JBM Projects exceeded our expectations of what we could offer our customers as a memorable experience whilst maintaining a functional and cost effective solution for our staff. YUM CHA CUISINE Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, QLD Project Scope Concept design, kitchen design, design documentation, joinery manufacture and fitout.

The client wanted a new look for this restaurant that would be a flagship to their high quality food offering and also a destination in the new Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Fresh Food extension.

Bamboo steam baskets inspired the joinery design of the banquette seating, ceiling features and pattern design.

16 YUM CHA CUISINE Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, QLD Project Scope Concept design, kitchen design, design documentation, joinery manufacture and fitout. Project Outcome Yum Cha Cuisine is a premium Yum Cha restaurant with several restaurants by the same client already operating in Queensland. The client wanted a new look for this restaurant that would be a flagship to their high quality food offering and also a destination in the new Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Fresh Food extension. The design incorporates a unique pattern design that is repeated in a custom metal screen on the shopfront, ceiling feature, low height wall in the entrance and copper glazing film. Bamboo steam baskets inspired the joinery design of the banquette seating, ceiling features and pattern design. Black dowel along the shopfront provides a reference to chopsticks whist providing privacy to the dinners and still maintaining transparency into the restaurant from the shopping mall. CONCEPT RENDERS Yum Cha Cuisine Materials are simple, modern and raw with old style large scale parquetry flooring, concrete bar and joinery to the back of the restaurant and oak timber finishes to represent the natural colour of the bamboo steam baskets. Recycled timber and copper on the shopfront provide warmth and character and this is incorporated into the custom designed signage. A large commercial kitchen was designed to support the clients expensive Yum Cha style menu with a separate kitchen for Dim Sum. We worked closely with hospitality specialists One Alliance Project Consulting who sourced the best equipment and worked with the client to ensure the best possible outcome for the project. Project Outcome A fun and upbeat sandwich bar within the QUT Kelvin Grove precinct, Dannyboys Sandwich Bar is designed to attract the strong, local student customer base. A modern semi-industrial concept was developed by JBM Projects Interior Designer that features interactive elements including a graffiti blackboard wall on the mezzanine level, community notice board and flexible seating configurations to encourage the patrons to passively claim possession of the space. Bold colours and high quality finishes throughout, include a feature graffiti splatter wall, galvanised steel chain balustrades, an open rustic timber staircase and exposed solid timber beams between raw plywood ceiling panels. A visual link for the patrons to connect with the honesty of the proprietor s food philosophy was created through the theatre of having the food preparation on display. A unique work surface in the dough kneading area was constructed from solid Tasmanian Oak. Stained plywood cupboards and table tops seamlessly integrate the timber look across the entire fitout. JBM were responsible for everything from design to full fitout, basically from a bare shell to a finished product where I was handed the keys and walking into a brand new store. From start to finish it was just fantastic. All the concepts were exactly what I was looking for and I m very, very happy.
