4 KEY SELLING POINTS 2018 COLLECTION This season, Colefax and Fowler conveys a mood of self-assured luxury through timeless motifs and distinguished weaves. Floral illustrations and Eastern influences are accompanied by resplendent plains, plaids, sumptuous silks, velvets, wools and linen sheers in traditional and contemporary finishes created for decorating with utmost style. Character abounds in decorative prints AMADORE and PERDITA, which re-interpret Orientally-inspired designs in sensational deep multicolours, rich reds and blues. Ornate florals range from beautifully illustrative Indian tree of life AJMER TREE, and BELLONA with its inky seedpods in hand-blocked style, to the opulent embroidered petals of SUMELA in exquisite muted palettes. Vivid colours sing out in ORIANA, a tree of life inspired design featuring applied cording to give a luxurious 3D effect. ACANTHA s rich 18th-century aesthetic introduces an elaborate aspect through exceptional embroidery. A trellis of ribbons frame ornately stitched miniature flora in red and aqua in SALVI, while a glorious stylised velvet damask swirls on coral, silver or blue in BROCKHAM. New additions to Colefax and Fowler s eminent wool designs combine refreshing shades of sand, teal, silver, sienna and salmon with signature tones of deep red, terracotta and green. All beautiful and of the finest quality, the paisley BURNELL accompanies three plaids; large-scale LOWICK and medium-scale HUTTON, and understated FEN PLAID on a tweedy herringbone ground. Timeless weaves, herringbone FEN and textured DUNBAR, are designed for stylish combining. IONA offers an elegant sateen with a spaced dyed effect, whilst velvet COSIMA provides discreet surface texture in a rich array of colours. Soft tweedy weaves FOLEY, BOYD, KESTON and RORY provide luxurious texture, and KENNET a smart variegated stripe; TAY a stylish horizontal strié in a soft chenille, BRETT a distinctive zigzag, MEDWAY a chic criss-cross pattern, and ERIN a bold flame-stitch stripe. The notably textured CERES boasts a raw silk hand effect, beautifully composed in sophisticated colours, and the silk plain LUCERNE has expanded its palette by 38 colours to include a rich selection of new tones. Stunning sheers come embroidered or woven in a classical yet diverse collection of striking creations on the lightest luxurious linens. Designs include timeless plain BUTE and subtly mottled AMBROSE, an array of stripes such as DISLEY, pretty paisley CARISSA, and elegant winding foliage in LARETTA and GABRIELLA. Nuanced mineral hues complement a palette of neutrals, each shade enhancing the beauty and drape of the linen. Stripes define this wallpaper collection, from grand paisley VERNEY to pretty miniature floral BRITTA, and the charmingly simple JUDE with stitch-like detail. Amadore is a perfect colour carrier and introduces some punchy paprika red and tomato tones, chic indigo teamed with red, with a different mood created by a delicate old blue and beige combination. A Cashmere shawl has been the inspiration for this densely detailed print. Developed by the Colefax design studio the repeat of Amadore is made up of decorative cartouches and this overall layout is perfect for both curtaining and upholstery uses. The velvet version of Amadore continues the emphasis on new colour combinations. The Colefax design studio has created a lively trailing repeat capitalising on the individuality of the leaves and motifs. Bellona is painted in an appealing watercolour technique that softens the bold scale of the design and brings interest to the three monochromatic colour ways. The herringbone ground cloth, first used for Cassius, helps to add depth and texture. 4 Colourways: F Old Blue F Blue F Coral F Silver Brockham offers the splendour and presence of a grand damask but is given an informal twist using appliqué and embroidery to create the design. Cassandra has four artfully balanced colour ways, its multi-coloured nature complimenting a wide range of Colefax woven product. Capturing the contemporary ethnic flavour of this collection Melior is an Ikat style print that is easily accessible and usable in either a modern or more traditional scheme.
