We at LC believe every aspect of Nature has the power to realize a whole gamut of dimensions: subtlety, sparkle, calmness, warmth, opulence, energy. We are specialized in creative lighting to impart character to any space we illuminate; through functional, efficient and beautiful design solutions.

28 Ownership Conserving resources is one of the LC's core concerns. When it comes to designing, we incorporate energy efficient light sources and advance lighting control systems which offer energy savings combined with improved operating convenience in our designs. As lighting design consultants we give our best to achieve the aesthetic, functional, and emotional design goals of an assignment. We believe that lighting is an essential part of the architectural design process. LC strives to put forth creative illumination inputs for our distinct clients with unique needs and requirements. We are offering our services to the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors in India and overseas.

31 Ekta Sanghvvi Director & Principal Designer Profile After achieving a quality experience in solar industry, she established Lighting Concepts (LC) in year She is internationally known for both her theoretical and practical knowledge about architectural lighting. Each of her dynamic and innovative assignments builds on over 10 years of innovative exploration and research in the interconnected fields of architecture and design. Her major interest lies in the careful edge between internal and external lighting along with all aspects of natural lighting. Her practice integrates natural lighting and innovative lighting systems, leading to cutting-edge energy efficient technologies directly allowing conservation of resources. She has studied Electronic Engineering from Mumbai, and have completed her Lighting Design specialization from Germany and LED specialization from Lighting Research Center, New York State, USA. 3/11/13

32 Ekta Sanghvvi, Director and Principal Designer, Lighting Concepts Pvt. Ltd. Ekta Sanghvvi completed her Electronic Engineering from Mumbai, and Lighting Design Specialisation from Germany followed by LED specialisation from Lighting Research Center, New York State, USA. She established Lighting Concepts (LC) in 2004 in Pune, a company that is focused on end-to-end advisory services in lighting design and consultancy. Sanghvvi is internationally known for both her theoretical and practical knowledge about architectural lighting. Her major interest lies in the careful edge between internal and external lighting along with all aspects of natural lighting. Sanghvvi is also an active member of Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). Sanghvvi shares her views during a session on Role of Lighting in Washrooms and Kitchens. According to her, lighting is a combination of both art and science. A good lighting plan is a plan with layers of light, satisfying the users multifunctional needs and compliments the design essence of the room. Washrooms today have become more spacious and multifunctional than ever before. They are now considered small rooms with a huge impact and are often referred to as a small, secluded paradise or a private retreat for relaxation, escape and self-indulgence. The real challenge here is to pick and choose the right type of lighting to make washrooms even more gracious. In the kitchen, the challenge is to allow for a good ambience along arranging for proper task lighting. 3/11/13
