Streetscape Design: Prevent truck traffic from cutting through the Lyttonsville neighborhood through traffic calming measures and signage. Unit Sizes: Recommend that new developments include larger units for families, similar to what exists in the area today. Pedestrian Crossings: Lack of crossings makes it hard for pedestrians who have to run across the street. Nice sidewalks alone will not create a complete network. Public Art: Address the potential for public art throughout the plan area to increase vibrancy and provide wayfinding and branding for local businesses.
