Wrote the RFQ's and contacted other road construction contractors to see if they were interested in bidding the completion work. Prepared a bid list and distributed the bid packages to the bidding contractors. Attended pre-bid meetings and coordinated the efforts of the local officials and GDOT (Georgia Department of Transportation) for the road projects. Received the bids and made a list of the bids to be analyzed for the selection of the successful bidder. Binders were made for each road project which included the RFQ and all other related information. Reviewed documentation from the defaulted contractor and his subcontractor s, investigated and resolved the subcontractor s payment claims. Wrote the RFQ, obtained a list of potential completion contractors, monitored the pre-bid meeting and answered questions from the bidders and assisted in the selection of the completion contractor. Woodward Parkway Elementary School Farmingdale, New York Reinstallation of Replacement windows. Reviewed drawings and specifications for the project. Held site meetings with the owner and the potential completion contractors. Reviewed bids and scope of work with the bidders. Assisted in the selection of the completion contractor. Adele H. Stamp Student Union University of Maryland College Park, Maryland Completion of the Slate and Built- Up Roofs. Performed full time daily onsite observation of the work being completed by the contractor. Made investigations of the work previously completed by the original contractor and determined corrective measures by working with GAF and our roofing consultant to correct deficiencies. Wrote daily reports and monitored the construction schedule. Resolved disputes between the general contractor, owner and completion contractor. Reviewed past and current documentation for the project and analyzed the completion contractors payment application. Edison School District (North and South) Edison, New Jersey - Complete field measurement and prepared site utility layout as- builds to fulfill surety s obligation under the bond. A report was written comparing the existing and the revised use of labor and materials. Dewberry Nealon and Davis - Architects and Engineers Rockville Maryland -Landscape Architect. Worked on master plans, individual site plans, grading plans, landscape plans and colored renderings for presentation to the local planning boards of single and multifamily housing in the new town of Montgomery Village, Maryland. Toupe and Louderman Civil Engineers performed the same work as with Dewberry Nealon and Davis. Sea Pines Plantation Company- Resort Developer - Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Senior Landscape Architect Served on the Architectural Review Board, Monitored the work of a staff of landscape architects and land planners. Interviewed Landscape Architectural and Planning Firms to do work for Sea Pines and made recommendation to Sea Pines Project Managers. Monitored the work of consults along with in- house design and construction projects. Put together bid packages, reviewed bids from landscape and irrigation contractors and monitored their work. Hassinger and Schwam Associates Architects and Engineers Elkins Park, PA Associate and Head of the Housing and Landscape Architectural Department. Projects included PHFA, NJFA and HUD multi family house projects in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia. Monitored the work of staff Landscape Architects. Architects and performed architectural inspection during construction. Did site plan design and put together site plan packages for approval. Made site plan presentations to planning and zoning boards. Reviewed payment application for approval from the general contractor. Reviewed shop drawings and catalog cuts from the contractor. Holly, New Jersey Department Head/Project Manager MARC Associates - Township Engineers, projects included site plan and landscape plan reviews, management of township tax maps. - Designed and prepared site plan packages, for various housing projects to be presents to townships for approval. Lott Constructors General Contractors- Harleysville, PA - Project Manager Project Manager -Upper Merion High School, 7 million dollars. Renovation and addition to the Upper Merion High School. The work was done during the summer and while school was in session and included the following: A new 10,000 SF addition to house classrooms, shop area, music area and student commons; a 16,000 SF 2-story addition will connect two sections of the building for a cafeteria, seating area and large group instruction area on the first floor and a new library and media center on the second floor. Other new areas included a 30,000 SF auxiliary gym and 9,000 SF of classroom area. In addition to the new spaces renovation work included upgrading locker rooms, hallways and lockers, existing media center, swimming pool, HVAC and electrical system. The only exterior renovation work involved was the replacement of all exterior windows and glass. York Hunter, Inc. General Contractors Harleysville/Philadelphia, PA - Project Manager Northwestern Juvenile Detention Center - Project Manager. Twelve million dollar project. An entrance road approximately one mile long with a twin box culvert was constructed for access to the seven one-story buildings. The site work included storm, sanitary and electrical work and landscaping. The buildings included the following: Intermediate Detention Center Secure Detention Center Administration Center/Classrooms Three Barracks Buildings The Intermediate and Secure Detention Centers included classrooms gymnasiums, cafeterias and administration offices. University of Pennsylvania Dental School As a team member I was responsible for the structural steel, maintaining the shop drawing and change order logs, and updating the asbuilt drawings. 5 Philadelphia Housing Authority Park Renovations Project Manager Wrote the RFP for the selection of the landscape contractor. Reviewed the bids and selected the landscape contractor. Monitored the installation of the landscaping, reviewed their payment application and forwarded it to PHA for approval and payment. Non Surety Related Career History Loews- Warrington and Trevose, Pennsylvania - Customer Service Associate: Duties included greeting customers and assisting them in their selections of plant materials and other related items such as mulch, fertilizer fencing, precast pavers etc. Watered plant material, stocked shelves, recovery bagged broken bags of mulch, topsoil, etc. made price labels and maintained a visually clean work area. US Census Bureau - Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania - Enumerator. Contacted residents who had not sent in their census report and had them complete the census questionnaire in person. Completed the census books for other enumerators that were unable to contact other residents and complete their census books. The Home Depot: Lansdale, Pennsylvania - Pro Account Sales Associate: Duties included the sales of building materials to contractors and the public. DAVID H.
