PANCRAS 15 MINS Haringey Council s ambition is for Tottenham Hale to become London s next great neighbourhood. To help enable this, throughout 2014 and 2015 Haringey Council undertook a series of consultation events with the Tottenham Hale community as it developed the Tottenham Hale District Centre Framework. The Framework is the Council s strategy to enhance what is already great about the area and deliver a new district centre around Tottenham Hale Station. It has an ambitious plan to oversee the development of 5,000 new homes and 4,000 new jobs in Tottenham Hale The consultation showed that Tottenham Hale residents have the following community priorities that any future development should try to take into account: Ensure there are enough community facilities such as doctors, schools and community space Design good quality buildings that reflect the area and don t just look like everywhere else Open up public spaces, make them more welcoming Create safe, pleasant connections between areas of Tottenham Hale Deliver affordable homes for local people, including family homes Maintain and support the variety of workspaces and businesses currently in the area Encourage a greater variety of shops Provide activities and places to meet in the evening
4 Ashley Road Vision Event July ,600 people in the Tottenham area were invited to a vision event for Ashley Road South held on July 20th. Over 50 people attended the event and were broadly positive about the vision that we displayed. Here s some of what people said: More restaurants and bars are needed in Tottenham Hale I hope any development undertaken is done with due diligence and consideration of all other developments that will be taking place I love Tottenham Hale but we need development to give it life. Very welcome and good to see as a plan rather than ad hoc Please put in seating and flower beds for older people July masterplan I would like to see more open spaces, including a potential extension of Down Lane Park and have more activities and amenities Change will be good for Tottenham Hale but buildings of heritage character are rare and must be integrated Great to see these interesting plans. Tottenham Hale has a great buzz and can really benefit from these plans. New places to meet, eat and drink are important Social housing is needed There must be careful planning that also meets the need of the local community We need initiatives that allow community enterprises to flourish and be included Photos of the previous exhibition Key meetings that have taken place First Public Consultation July 2016 PRE APPLICATION WITH GLA July 2016 PRE APPLICATION WITH HARINGEY COUNCIL September 2016 QUALITY REVIEW PANEL September ND QUALITY REVIEW PANEL PRE APPLICATION WITH GLA Consultation focused on NHH sites October 2016 Consultation focused on NHH sites October 2016 TODAY Consultation focused on first two parcels of develompent (NHH sites)

Ashley Road will have a new layout with wider pavements, new paving and tree planting to create a much improved, pedestrian-friendly environment. Green links are proposed to link the new development with the Park, effectively extending the Park toward Ashley Road. They will also seek to extend towards Hale Village and the marshes beyond, improving connectivity throughout New buildings and new planting will improve the park edges, with new front doors and windows facing the park and new entrances. The public spaces will be for all members of the community, creating children s play areas and urban spaces for workers A potential location for community space by the park
