2 A Long-Standing Reputation of Quality & Integrity Geddis Paving & Excavating, Inc. has been serving Toledo and the surrounding communities for nearly 70 years. Robert Geddis, Sr. founded Geddis Brothers Paving back in The company was incorporated 30 years later and changed its name to Geddis Paving & Excavating, Inc. Our founder Robert Sr. passed away in 1985 and Robert Jr., President, carries on his dad s legacy. Additionally, Ben Geddis, third-generation, serves the company and its clientele as CFO. OUR STORY Promises Made & Kept On A Handshake In 1946, the company began with only a single backhoe and a dump truck and their word was their promise. Today, Geddis Paving & Excavating is proud to offer an entire fleet of paving, excavating, and utility installation equipment. The size of work has also changed from small residential driveways to major commercial, industrial, and public projects (federal, state, and municipalities). This includes excavation, sanitary and storm sewer installations, and waterlines. While business continues to grow and expand, our core philosophy built on trust remains constant. From Start To Finish It doesn t matter if our client is a small business owner in need of parking lot repairs, or a large developer with a major site development project. 4 My first experience with Geddis Paving & Excavating dates back to 1987 or 1988 when I was Director of Operations for Monroe County Road Commission. Geddis helped us with several things including spreading stone with their stone box and dozer and paving. It was always easy to pick up the phone and call Bob to ask for help on a project and he always seemed to figure out a way to come through. In my current position as Sales Manager for Asphalt Materials Inc. in Oregon, Ohio I continue to have the pleasure to deal with Geddis both as a customer and a source of equipment and knowledge for road and site related projects that we get involved with. Based on my experience I would never have a second thought about recommending Geddis to our friends and customers.
