1 1. Welcome Offering improved shopping choice in Faringdon Thank you for coming to our exhibition to find out about our plans for a brand new Tesco foodstore on Park Road in Faringdon. We want to explain our proposals and find out your views. Tesco is proposing to develop a modern, environmentally friendly, food store. Please look at the boards which describe the proposals. Members of the project team are on hand to answer your questions. When you have had a chance to study the proposals, please let us have your comments on the form provided (details on Board 7).

There would be good links with the town centre by foot as indicated and there are bus stops located close to the store along Park Road. Two pedestrian crossing points would be provided across Park Road. We envisage no more than three HGV deliveries to the store each day. These can be timed to avoid peak periods.

Quentin has worked for Tesco for over 18 years. His job is to source regional products for local stores.

Although many of our suppliers have grown with Tesco over the years, Tesco is always interested in new suppliers with great products to offer and works with

Quentin Sandell is the Senior Buying Manager for Southern England. Quentin has worked for Tesco for over 18 years. His job is to source regional products for local stores. Although many of our suppliers have grown with Tesco over the years, Tesco is always interested in new suppliers with great products to offer and works with many small suppliers, helping them to grow their business. Some of the local producers we work with are R Oil of Stow on the Wold and Arkell s Brewery of Swindon. The Campbell family produce a cold pressed rapeseed oil grown purely on the farms in the Cotswolds.
