The story so far Established in 1999, What More UK Limited has grown rapidly to become the UK s largest manufacturer and brand leader of plastic housewares, gardening and storage products, under the brand name WHAM. The superior quality of our products has been recognised all over the world and we currently export to 62 countries, including the Far East. With over 600 products currently on the market we never stand still. We constantly look to expand our range by developing new innovative ideas for the home, from our state-of-the art manufacturing and distribution plant in the North West of England. 2.
Machines, moulds and masses of space! What More UK Limited has 48 fully automated, state of the art machines, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have 2 sites in East Lancashire, covering 340,000 sq ft, employing 215 staff members. 3.
The Process CLOSE MOULD CLAMPING The moving and fixed platens of the injection moulding machine holds the mould tool together under pressure. Our Injection Moulding Process INJECT MOLTEN PLASTIC INJECTION The molten plastic that has been melted from pellet form in the barrel of the moulding machine is injected under pressure into the mould. COOLING The plastic parts are then allowed to solidify in the mould. EJECTION Rods, a plate or air blast then aids ejection of the completed plastic moulding from the injection mould tool.
