You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. Itemization of Services Basic services of funeral director and staff $1,995 Our charge includes funeral counseling, necessary arrangements, recording vital statistics, securing permits, filing and obtaining death certificates and other forms and claims, preparation of necessary notices, and coordination of service plans with parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving remains.) Embalming $580 Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. The charge or mileage beyond the 25 mile radius is $1.25 per mile round trip and is charged from our facility. Receiving remains from another funeral home $2,290 This charge includes transportation from local airport, transportation to the cemetery, necessary authorizations and basic services of staff. (This charge does not include use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony public or private). Immediate burial (range of prices) $2,585 to $10,205 Our charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff, removal and shelter of remains, local transportation to cemetery and appropriate authorizations. Immediate burial with container provided by purchaser $2,585 Immediate burial with Denton cloth covered casket $3,820 Immediate burial with casket as selected (range of prices) $2,585 to $10,205 Direct cremation (range of prices) $2,260 to $9,430 Our charge for a direct cremation (without services) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, removal of remains, crematory fee, transportation to crematory and temporary container for cremains. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The container we provide is a cardboard container.
