June 2014 Happy Spring! Green Buildings, eco-friendly design and sustainability are all hot topics for both you and your clients. We offer a compelling one-hour continuing education program on the health and well-being benefits of indoor plants, Living Walls and Green Roofs that speaks directly to the important issues relating to our region s green design interests. The program offers 1.0 Health Safety and Welfare (HSW) hours of continuing education and 1.0 LEEDS credit. Comprehend and apply what these measurements mean for green building designs. Empower to initiate, plan and gain support for biophilic plant programs within the architectural and interior design processes. Comprehension of different types of systems and their uses within an environment. How Taught: The CES facilitator utilizes a PowerPoint presentation and a script, which gives an overview of the specific, measurable environmental contributions of living walls and green roofs. The facilitator will review general planning and cost issues of installing and maintaining these living walls and green (vegetated) roofs. The program will conclude with a questions and answer session. Facilitator Qualifications (include name and qualifications for each): All Green Plants for Green Buildings Facilitators have been trained on CES guidelines and presentation skills.
