As prescribed in Contractor Agreement, paragraph 3, the term of this agreement shall continue in full force through August 9, 2015 with option to renew for an additional three (3) one-year terms, unless otherwise terminated as provided in paragraph four (4) of said agreement. On May 12, 2015, the BOCC approved Amendment #1 to this contract to add the Service Rate and Contract Pricing Sheets. At this time the Facilities & Parks Services desires to renew the contract commencing on August 10, 2015 through August 9, 2016.

Based on the last bullet point under vendor responsibility on page 5 of 44 of the bid document, which states, Proposals that are incomplete, unbalanced, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not called for, alterations, or irregularities of any kind, or which do not comply with these documents may be rejected at the option of the BOCC. The proposal can move forward to the selection committee with the caveat they need to select the next highest ranked contractor, if the BOCC rejects the proposal due to the missing hard and electronic copies. The Selection Committee met on 5/20/2014 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 102 to discuss and score the proposals. Scoring is as follows:

1. VSC Fire & Security - 11.10 2. AIT Life Safety - 9.60 3. Space Coast Fire & Safety, Inc. - 9.10 The Selection Committee agreed to recommend to the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to award and enter into contract with VSC Fire & Security. If the BOCC does not approve VSC Fire & Security due to the missing copies, then recommend to award and enter into contract with AIT Life Safety.
