Mesure detergent nd pour it into the weshen If desired, dd powdered or liquid color sfe blech. Drop sorted lod of clothes loosely into your wsher. Lod evenly to mintin wsher blnce. Mix lrge nd smll items. Items should move esily through the wsh wter. Overloding cn cuse poor clening. (OPTIONAl_) Add Liquid Chlorine Blech. NOTE: Follow the mnufcturer's directions for sfe use. Undiluted blech will dmge ny fbric it touches. The dmge ppers s rips, holes, ters, or color loss nd my net show up until severl wshings lter. To void spilling, use cup with pouring spout. Do net let blech splsh, drip, or run down into the wsher bsket. Alwys mesure liquid chlorine blech. Do net guess. Never use more thn the mnufcturer's recommended mount for full lod. Use less with smller lod size. 3. (OPTIONAl_) Add Liquid Fbric Softener. NOTE: Do not spill or drip ny fbric softener onto the clothes. Undiluted fbric softener cn stin fbrics. Alwys dilute fbric softener with wrm wter. Too much fbric softener cn mke some items (dipers nd towels) nonbsorbent. If this hppens, do net use it every lod, or use less of it in ech lod. Style 1: With Liquid Fbric Softener Dispenser (on some models) Use only liquid fbric softener in this dispenser. Pour mesured liquid fbric softener into the dispenser. Softener is dded utomticlly during the rinse portion of the cycle. Dilute liquid fbric softener by filling the dispenser with wrm wter until liquid reches the cmsbr inthe dispenser opening. Style 1: With Chlorine Blech Dispenser (on some models) Use only liquid chlorine blech in this dispenser. Pour mesured liquid chlorine blech into the liquid chlorine blech dispenser. Blech is immeditely fed into wsher nd is diluted utomticlly during the wsh prt of the cycle. Style 2: Without Liquid Fbric Softener Dispenser (on some models) In the finl rinse ONLY, dd fbric softener tht hs been diluted with 1/zto 1 cup (125 to 250 ml) wrm wter. Style 2: Without Chlorine Blech Dispenser (on some models) Let the wsher fill nd begin gitting the lod. Add blech 5 minutes into the wsh cycle for best clening nd so thet blech cn be removed in the rinse cycle. Pour blech round the gittor, not directly onto the lod. 4. 5. Close the wsher lid. Wsher will not gitte or spin with the lid open. Turn the LOAD SIZE or WATER LEVEL selector to the correct setting for your wsh lod nd the type of fbric being wshed. You my chnge the lod size orwter level selection fter the wsher hs strted filling by turning the selector to different setting.

6, Set the TEMPERATURE selector to the correct setting for the type of fbric nd soils being wshed. Use the wrmest wter sfe for fbric. Follow grment lbel instructions. NOTE: In wsh wter tempertures colder thn 70 F (21 (3), detergents do not dissolve well. Soils cn be difficult to remove. For n dditionl rinse nd spin t the end of wsh cycle, set the EXTRA RINSE slector to ON. On some models, the EXTRA RINSE feture is prt of the cycle. 8. (OPTIONAL) Some models hve n END OF CYCLE SIGNAL selector. Set this selector to ON if you wnt your wsher to lert you when the wsh cycle is complete. WASHERCARE 9, Push in the Cycle Control knob nd turn it clockwise to the wsh cycle you wnt. Reduce the wsh time when using smll lod size setting. Pull out the Cycle Control knob to strt the wsher. To stop or restrt your wsher: To stop the wsher t ny time, push in the Cycle Control knob. To restrt the wsher, close the lid (if open) nd pull out the Cycle Control knob. Clening YourWsher Use soft, dmp cloth or sponge to wipe up ny spills such s detergent or blech from the outside of your wsher. Clen your wsher interior by mixing 1 cup (250 ml) of chlorine blech nd 2 cups (500 ml) of detergent. Pour this mixture into your wsher nd run it through complete cycle using hot wter. Repet this pmces if necessry. Remove ny hrd wter deposits using only cleners lbeled s wsher sfe. Clening the liquid fbric softener dispenser (on some models): 1. Remove dispenser by grsping top with both hnds nd squeezing, while pushing upwrd with thumbs. 2. Rinse dispenser under wrm wter, then replce it. NOTE: If your model hs liquid fbric softener dispenser, do not wsh clothes with this dispenser removed. Do not dd detergent or blech to this dispenser; it is for liquid fbric softener only. Wter Inlet Hoses Replce inlet hoses fter 5 yers of use to reduce the risk of hose filure. Periodiclly inspect nd replce inlet hoses if bulges, kinks, cuts, wer or leks re found. When replcing your inlet hoses, mrk the dte of replcement on the lbel with permnent mrker. Moving & Storge Becuse some wter my sty inthe hoses, freezing cn dmge your wsher. If storing or moving your wsher during freezing wether, winterize it. Winterizing your wsher 1. Shut off both wter fucsts. Disconnect nd drin wster inlet hoses. Pour 1 qt (1 L) of R.V-type ntifreeze inthe bsket. 2. Run wsher on drin nd spin setting for bout 30 seconds to mix the ntifreeze nd wster. 3. Unplug wsher or disconnect power. To use wsher gin 1. Flush wter pipes nd hoses. Reconnect wter inlet hoses. Turn on both wter fucets. 2. Plug in wsher or reconnect power. 3. Run the wsher through complete cycle with 1 cup (250 ml) of detergent to clen out ntifreeze. Storge, non-use or vcbon cm Operte your wsher only when you re t home. If you will be on vction or not using your wsher for n extended period of time, you should: 1. Unplug wsher or disconnect power. 2. Turn off the wter supply to the wsher. This helps void ccidentl flooding (due to wter pressure surge) while you re wy. 4

TROUBLESHOOTING First tw the solutions suggested here nd possibly void the cost of service cll... Wsher nd Components Wsher Opertion Noisy Is the lod blnced nd the wsher level? The wsh lod should be blnced end not overloded. The wsher must be level. The front feet should be properly instlled nd the nuts tightened. Reset the rer leveling legs (if needed). See the Instlltion Instructions. Did you completely remove the yellow shipping strp with cotter pins? See the Instlltion Instructions. Are the gers engging fter the drin nd before spin, or is the upper prt of gittor clicking during wsh? These re norml wsher noises. Leking Check the following: Are the fill hoses tight? Are the fill hose wshers properly seted? Is the drin hose clmp properly instlled? See the Instlltion Instructions. Is the sink or drin clogged? Sink nd stndpipe must be ble to hndle 17 gel. (64 L) of wter per minute. Is wter deflecting off the tub ring or the lod? Center the tub before strting the wsher. The wsh lod should be blnced nd not overloded. The fill or spry dnss cn deflect off the lod. The wsher must be level. The front feet should be properly instlled nd the nuts tightened. Reset the rer leveling legs (if needed). See the Instlltion Instructions. Check household plumbing for leks. Bsket crooked Ws the wsher bsket pulled forwrd during loding? Push the bsket to the center before strting wsh. Is the lod blnced nd the wsher level? The wsh lod should be blnced nd not overloded. The wsher must be level. The front feet should be properly instlled nd the nuts tightened. Reset the rer leveling legs (if needed). See the Instlltion Instructions. The wsher bsket moves while wshing. This is norml. Agittor or)er'don The top of the gittor is loose, or moves in only one direction. This is norml. Dispensers dogged or blech leking Wsher stops, won't fill, rinse or gitte Check the following: Is the power cord plugged into grounded 3 prong outlet? Is the indictor on the Cycle Control knob pmpedy lined up with cycle? Turn the Cycle Control knob to the right slightly nd pull to strt.,arethe wter inlet vlve screens clogged?,areboth the hot nd cold wter fucets Is the wter inlet hose kinked? turned on? Does the wter level seem too low, or does the wsher pper to not fill completely?. The top of the gittor is much higher thn the highest wter level. This is norml nd necessry for clothes to move freely. Hs fuse blown or is the circuit breker open? If problem continues, cll n electricin.,re you using n extension cord? Do not use n extension cord. Is the wsher in norml puse in the cycle? The wsher puses for bout 2 minutes during certin cycles.,allowthe cycle to continue. Some cycles feture periods of gittion nd sok. Is the wsher overloded? Wsh smller lods. Is the lid open? The lid must be closed during opertion. Wsher will not gitte or spin with the lid open. Wsher won't drin or spin Is the drin hose clogged, or the end of the drin hose more thn 96 in. (244 cm) bove the floor?. See the Instlltion Instructions for proper instlltion of drin hose. Is the lid open? The lid must be closed during opertion. Wsher will not gitte or spin with the lid open. Is there excessive sudsing?,alwys mesure detergent. Follow mnufcturer's directions. Wsher continues to fill or drin, cycle seems stuck Is the top of drin hose lower thn the wter level in wsher?. The top of the hose must be higher thn the wter level in the wsher for proper opertion. See the Instlltion Instructions. Does the drin hose fit too tightly in the stndpipe, or is it tped to the stndpipe? The drin hose should be loose yet fit securely. Do not sel the drin hose with tbs. The hose needs n ir gb. See the Instlltion Instructions. Did you follow the mnufcturer's directions when dding detergent nd fbric softener to the dispensers (on some models)? Mesure detergent nd fbric softener. Crefully pour into the dispensers. Wipe up ll spills. Dilute fbric softener in the fbric softener dispenser. Did you put powdered or color-sfe blech in the liquid chlorine blech dispenser (on some models)? Add powdered or liquid color-sf blech directly to the bsket. Do not use the chlorine blech dispenser for color-sefe blech.

This sves energy while providing the Did you overlod the wsher?. The wsh lod must be sme rins performnce. blnced nd not overloded. Lods should move freely during wshing. L_d t_ wet Wosher Results Did you us the right cycle for the lod being wshed? Select cycle with higher spin speed (if vilble). Did you use cold rinse? Cold dnses leve lods wetter thn wrm rinses. This is norml. Residue or lint on lod Did you sort properly? Sort lint givers (towels, chenille) from lint tkers (corduroy, synthetics). Also sort by color. Did you overlod the wsher?. The wsh lod must be blnced nd not overloded. Clothes should move freely. Lint cn be trpped inthe lod if overloded. Wsh smller IodSl Did you select the correct wter level? The wter level should be correct for the lod size. Clothes should move freely in the wetec Did you use enough detergent?. Follow mnufnturer's directions. Use enough detergent to hold the lint inthe wsten Did you line dry your clothing? lint on the clothing. Check the following: Ws pper or tissue Isft inthe pockets? If so, you cn expect some Is your wter colder thn 70 F (21 C)? Wsh wter colder thn 7O F (21 C) my not completely dissolve the detergent. Did you use the proper cycle time for the lod? Reducing wsh time (durtion) is nother wy to reduce lint. Stins on lod Did you follow the mnufcturer's directions when dding detergent nd fbric softener?. Mesure detergent nd fbric softener.
