One (1) Year Limited Warranty Brookstone warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser ( Warranty Period ). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or 3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone s property. When a store credit is given, the original product must be returned to Brookstone and becomes Brookstone s property. Obtaining Service: To obtain warranty service, call Brookstone Limited Warranty Service at 1-800-292-9819. Please be prepared to describe the product that needs service and the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions. Limits and Exclusions: Coverage under this Limited Warranty is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured for Brookstone that can be identified by the Brookstone trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-brookstone products. Troubleshooting guide (cont.) Issue The unit does not start. Possible cause/resolution Determine if the AC power has been turned off. Ensure the POWER CORD is connected to the electrical outlet. Important Consult your physician before use if you: have an electronic medical device in your body, such as a pacemaker. may be pregnant. are receiving medical care or are feeling unwell. are experiencing undue pain on any part of your body. have joint dysfunction such as rheumatism, hammer toe and gout. suffer from diabetes, thrombosis and/or phlebitis. are at any increased risk of developing blood clots. Any individual who has pins/screws or anything mechanical in his/her legs, ankles or feet, should not use the usqueez Lite. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS This appliance is intended for household use only. Warning To reduce the risk of electric shock, this product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. 19 4

Grounding Instructions: This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. DANGER: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electronic shock. Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether this product is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the product if it will not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. This product is for use on a normal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in sketch (A). A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter used in sketches (B) and (C) may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in sketch (B), if a properly grounded plug is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (sketch A) can be installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored, rigid ear tab or the like extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held into place by a metal screw. Troubleshooting guide Issue Motor sounds occur during operation. The unit stops during operation. Possible cause/resolution These sounds are normal and not a massaging malfunction. The 15-minute auto shutoff is engaged. The thermal resetting protection device is engaged. This is an added safety feature to protect the unit from overheating. If the unit stops and fails to restart as a result of overheating, turn the main power off and do not operate the unit for at least 30 minutes. Failure to turn off the unit may cause it to resume operation unexpectedly when the device is cooled. The stop button was pressed accidentally. 5 18

Warning This appliance is equipped with a thermal resetting protection device. This is a safety feature to protect the appliance from overheating. If the appliance should suddenly stop and will not start, turn off the main switch and pull the plug from the electrical outlet. Do not operate the unit for at least 30 minutes. Failure to turn the appliance off may result in the appliance starting unexpectedly when the device cools. The appliance has no user serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative. For all grounded cord-connected products: CAUTION TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE COVER. THERE ARE NO SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE. The lightning flash with arrow-head symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the unit s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the unit. 17 6

Auto Hi L o Auto Hi L o Warning Follow the below steps to remove your feet from the unit in the event of a power failure. 1. Lift your knees upward. Refer to Figure 1. 2. Rotate your feet sideways and ease them out. Refer to Figure 2. Care and maintenance Storing the Unit Wipe off dust and dirt from the unit after each use. Keep the unit clean and away from areas of high humidity. Cover the unit with a dust cover if not used for a long period of time. Cleaning the Unit Before cleaning, ensure that the MAIN SWITCH is turned off and the POWER CORD is disconnected from the electrical outlet. Wipe the MAIN CASING with a soft, damp cloth. Press the [ ] button again, and the Vibration Massage will switch to Hi (High Vibration). Press the [ ] button again, and the Vibration Massage will switch to Lo (Low Vibration). There is an auto timer of 15 minutes on all massage programs. Massager Operation Moving the Massager 1. 2. Hold on to the 2 handles on either side (see example below) to move the usqueez Lite. Do not drag. CAUTION: Ensure that the POWER CORD is not placed under the usqueez Lite. always place the usqueez Lite on an even, nonslip floor. For floors that may be easily scratched, you may place a mat under the usqueez Lite. 13 10

Switch On The Power Connect the POWER PLUG to the electrical outlet. Turn on the MAIN SWITCH located at the back of the usqueez Lite (see below left).
