ELECTROPROJECT POWER SUPPLY FOR DOOR MAGNETS Innovative and carefully thought out Always the right drive
ELECTROPROJECT AANDRIJFTECHNIEK ElectroProject has evolved over the last 75 years from a technical trade and engineering firm to an innovative partner for complex technical systems and market segment related components. Since the 60s, the magnet systems have been added to the product range. This is done in close collaboration with producer and global market leader Kendrion. Kendrion-Hahn supplies ElectroProject with a complete range of door and locking magnets for the Fire and Security market and industrial magnets for industry and the OEM market. Over 40 years ago, ElectroProject added the 24 Vdc GTV power supply. This allows us to offer a complete door retention system at a best price/performance ratio. Application of the stabilised 24 Vdc power supply General: You want to protect your property against fire, burglary and unwanted visitors. At the same time you want to make your entrances and doorways as accessible as possible to your staff. ElectroProject provides 24 Vdc power supplies up to 10 amps with and without back-up battery for supplying power to door retention and/or door locking systems. The power supplies can be controlled by a Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP), a card reader or other signalling devices (). In emergencies, the power supply is switched off, the emergency exit doors are unlocked and the partitioning doors are closed. Smoke or heat detector Smoke or heat detector Implementation The power supply provides, with its three inputs, two independent switch outputs and 5 program choices, a very interesting solution for the controlling and switching off of almost any door retention system. Door closer The can be controlled by a floating control contact and/or a 24 Vdc control signal. The test button on the unit can be switched off using a jumper setting on the control board. The has as a standard, 2 isolated contacts that can be used, for example, for feedback on the status of the GTV 2 outputs and a Master/Slave output for the simultaneous controlling of multiple GTV's. Principle of the The supplies a stabilised and steady 24 Vdc power supply. The ripple voltage is less than 1%. The input voltage may vary between 180 to 240 Volts (50/60 Hz). The output voltage is set to 25 Vdc to compensate for the to be expected voltage loss due to the use of long cables. The can be used for the following: Door magnets, electric door closers and/or electric locks, A load which has to be split over one or two outputs (zones) which have to be closed independently of each other. Closing sequence system for two closing doors opposite each other, Door magnets with separate orientation (LED) lighting, Locking magnets with separate power supply for position indication, Stand-alone smoke detectors. Characteristics of the power supply unit: Selector switch with five fixed choice programs, Three inputs and two switched outputs, Backwards compatible with the previous GTV and GTVS models, The outputs are short-circuit proof with automatic over-current detection, Models up to 10 Amps 24 Vdc stabilised and steady (<1%), DIN-rail mounting space for optional installation of an I/O module FACP, timer switch; main switch and dimmer switch, for example, Fixed 24 Vdc auxiliary voltage for items like light signalling or controlled power supply, Large and easily accessible connection terminals, Cable entry via cable glands at the top and bottom of the unit, Control of all inputs and outputs via status LEDs on the PCB, Option to select manual or automatic start after reset of fire alarm/ contact, Master/Slave function which allows several units to be controlled. Presets The has a test program and four pre-programmed programs that, depending on the program selected, configure the two outputs of the. Setting the function switch The function switch is on the control board and is used for setting programs 0 to 8, The power turns ON automatically in function modes 1 to 4, The power turns ON manually in function modes 5 to 8, By using the push button (DK) you can turn the power back OFF and ON again. 3
ExAMPLE of applications The has four pre-programmed drivers and a test program which can be selected by setting the function switch on the control board of the. This allows you to apply it to numerous systems. A number of application examples have been listed below. A comprehensive description of the programs can be found in the instruction manual of the Control Power Load 0 1 zone, all door magnets controlled by push button 1 1 zone, all door magnets controlled by FACP 2 1 zone, door magnets with closing sequence control Part load slows down gradually (6 seconds) 3 2 zones, zone 1: door magnets left corridor 2 zones, zone 2: door magnets right corridor 4 2 zones, zone 1: all door magnets 2 zones, zone 2: all emergency door locking magnets Special safety shut off for zone 2 * Control via FACP (Fire Alarm Control Panel) or system (Building Management System)
