GEHRY A MASTERPIECE THAT BLENDS tradition AND MODernitY The location alone is remarkable: AXICA is housed within the DZ BANK directly on Pariser Platz, a stone s throw from the Brandenburg Gate and the government district. Situated at the historic divide between East and West, in the geographical heart of Europe, the building designed by architect Frank O. Gehry symbolises a vibrant new Berlin. With the DZ BANK building, the renowned architect has created an architectural masterpiece that enhances the status of the location. The stark, classical façade opens onto the entrance area to reveal a spatial sculpture of biomorphic forms, lavish materials and a spectacular, dynamic geometry. It offers a spectacular view of the arched Atrium, with it s dazzling reflections of sunlight and stunning perspectives. Guests walk through the Atrium to reach the Plenum and Forum. TRANSPARENCY ON A GRAND SCALE: THE FORUM The glass dome spanning the ceiling, which affords a view of the Atrium, floods the Forum with natural light and creates a spacious feel. The open yet sealed design guarantees outstanding acoustics. Because of its size and transparency, the space is ideally suited for events such as gala celebrations, conferences, receptions and product presentations. Equipped with its bold red carpet, the Forum can accommodate up to 500 people.
