Details Once again it s time for all Princesses, Guides, Questors, and Trailblazers sell the famous Spencer YMCA Holiday Wreath to family, friends, and neighbors. If you haven t sold wreaths before, this is the year to give it a go. It s pretty easy to do before you know it, you ll have sold your first few wreaths. In this packet you ll find everything you need for a successful sale. All you and your dad need to provide is a little time. Why the wreath sale? The fee you paid to join your father-child program covers the administration costs the YMCA incurs to run the program. It doesn t pay for the activities you do. Many of those activities, such as the campouts, are paid for by the participants on a pay-as-you-go basis. Several activities don t have fees, however, and they are funded by the proceeds of the wreath sale. Here is just some of what the Holiday Wreath Sale makes possible: Fall Family Picnic Chule Car Event (Guides) Camp Improvements (Soles Laughing Bear Trail) Campout Activities Princess Cup (Princesses) Camp Aim Contribution Other Program Funded Activities Why should my dad and I participate? First, you benefit from the Wreath Sale whether you sell wreaths or not. Second, helping to raise funds for Camp Aim is one of the ways you can help kids who face special challenges in life experience the fun and character-building aspects of camp that you have already experienced. Third, selling wreaths can be an educational experience. Fourth, it can be a fun activity to do with your dad. And fifth, you can earn some great patches and prizes! Must we participate in the Wreath Sale? No, BUT if everyone sold just 3 wreaths we could fully fund our program for the entire year plus provide a substantially beneficial donation to Camp AIM. Currently only 20 to 30 percent of the program members sell wreaths. All it takes is 3 wreaths, buy one for your front door, sell one to Grandma, and one to an Uncle and you are done! What if we just can t participate this year? Talk to your dad about buying a couple wreaths to give away as gifts. Or, since roughly 50% of the gross sales from the Wreath Sale goes to the programs, consider making a donation of $30 to the Wreath Sale. Can I earn prizes? You sure can! The more wreaths you sell, the bigger the prizes you earn. The Prize List, included later in this packet, lists all the prizes available and how many wreaths you must sell to earn them. Understand that the prizes earned are based on the number of wreaths sold, not the dollar amount. Small wreaths count just as much as large wreaths. In fact, the small wreath is by far the most popular seller. Cash donations also count toward your prize earning potential (You get 1 wreath credit for every $10 donated). How do I handle payments from customers? We greatly prefer that you collect the money at the time of sale and write us one check payable to Spencer YMCA. Cash or individual checks made out to Spencer YMCA are also acceptable. 2

If you received donations from customers, every $10 donated counts as one wreath toward your prize total. The 2018 reward gift tier s for Princess & Guides are shown in the chart below. Questors/Trailblazers will have a separate reward structure that will be communicated separately: Wreath's Sold 2017 Gifts 3 Wreath Sale Patch 10 OOTWB Patch, $10 Gift Card Credits 20 Silver Buffalo Pin & $20 Gift Card Credits 50 Gold Buffalo pin & $50 Gift Card Credits Gift Card Rewards: You also have the ability to earn gift cards for selling a high number of wreaths. The earning tiers for the gift cards are defined above, however, for simplicity sake, these redemptions will all be done in $10 gift card increments. As an example, if you sell 20 wreaths, you would be eligible for $20 in gift cards, which would be redeemed as 2 individual gift cards of $10. 2018 Redemption options Amazon Target Donation Patch: Reward redemptions that are donated back to the program will be explicitly earmarked for Camp AIM donations, and 100% of these give-back proceeds will be designated for the Camp AIM fund. In addition, those who contribute their entire gift card earnings or part of their gift card earnings back into the program will earn a Spirit Award Patch, to show that those braves & children are exhibiting the spirit of the 6 Aims. 3
