Cabinet & Planning Guide Layout It is essential to take kitchen traffic, space for doors, & appliance placement into consideration when planning a safe & organized kitchen. Your designer will ensure that your layout improves the efficiency and appearance of your kitchen. Make sure to include the trim in your measurements. Step 2 - Add Appliances As you make your way across each wall, measure to the center of your oven, stove, & fridge. Also note the width of each appliance & height of your fridge. Appliances need to be included to ensure that the cabinets will fit into the space properly. If you have purchased new appliances, we will need sizes & model numbers. This will ensure your new appliances fit per the manufacturer s specifications. Sink Center - It is essential to measure to the center of your sink. This will give us the centralized area of your home s hot and cold water lines, electrical outlet, & drain from the previous installation. Plumbing and Outlets - It is essential to note where plumbing pipes come in to the house, wall or floor. Will any be in the way of cabinets? Will any cabinets besides the sink base have to be cut into during install? Note also where outlets are placed. If you are changing your layout at all make sure you aren't burying an outlet. Installation - What To Expect The cabinet building timeline will completely depend on the type/style of cabinets you choose and will be schedule dependent. Once your cabinets are complete, we install your cabinets, but you always have the option to have your contractor or even install cabinets yourself. You can remain in your home during the installation but won t have access to a functional kitchen. Replacement A replacement won t change the layout but will replace the selected cabinets & countertops. Choosing a new color scheme & cabinet design can dramatically improve the look & feel of your space. The Install process will take a minimum of 2 weeks. Once cabinet bases are installed we template for the countertop & go back to shop to fabricate. 5-10 days later your countertop is installed. Remodel A Remodel is a great option for improving function & efficiency in your kitchen design. Rather than simply replace existing cabinets and countertops, a remodel allows for more freedom & creativity. During a Remodel you work with your contractor to change walls, plumbing etc. and we work with them or you to design the kitchen with the new layout. As with any remodeling project, a kitchen remodel often includes moving utilities and can take up to 6 weeks. We pride ourselves on doing a professional & high quality cabinet install.
