ir ox 12 Suggested Product Specifications The hydraulic powered air compressor shall be assembled with a recovery hydraulic turbine pump and a rotary vane type air compressor on a structural steel plate and shall be a model ir ox 12 as manufactured by Plad Equipment Ltd. The air delivery performance shall be 12 (5.5 to 15.0) FM at a discharge air pressure of 10 (0 to 15) psig, when powered by a pressurized irrigation water source of 60 (50 to 60) gpm at a water pressure of 80 (50 to 80) psi. The hydraulic recovery turbine shall be manufactured by Plad Equipment Ltd. In 2001, the Knowlton golf club built a second 9-hole course. total of 7 ponds were built on the new course. ut after only two years, those ponds were full of algae, and the water quality was deteriorating rapidly. The ponds eventually ended up looking like wet lands. Since the usage of algaecide is prohibited, the golf club had to find other options to bring back life to these ponds. lthough the use of bacteria and aquatic plants can prove efficient, they require oxygen to work properly. The oxygen can be supplied by aerator fountains or fine bubble diffuser systems. ut there were no electrical power sources anywhere near these ponds. The golf course had everything in place such as the plants and the bacteria, but no electrical power to generate oxygen. The solution was then to use this huge energy that most golf courses have under their feet, that is the hydraulic power within the irrigation pipe network system. y using the pressurized irrigation water to activate an hydraulic recovery turbine, it was then possible to provide power to a rotary vane air compressor.
