INSTALLATION ADDENDUM MT00 Series Dehydrators.0 Introduction Page Installation Recent design improvements have been introduced on the MT00 Series Dehydrator that are not detailed in the printed manual. The following addendum lists the changes that apply to the unit you have received. Page Dehydrator Control, Indicators and Connectors. Rack Mounted unscrew the four rubber feet from the bottom of the dehydrator and replace with the four / x 0 PPH machine screws from the cloth bag attached to the dehydrator. Wall Mounted A template drawing (AE0B-D0-00) is provided to help in locating the positions for drilling holes in the wall. Page Installation The ac power cords are no longer "hard wired" to the dehydrator chassis. Now they plug into an IEC receptacle on the chassis and they are secured with a clamping metal strain relief. Page Installation NOTE: An alarm terminal strip and label have been added to the MT00 chassis (front view) and the low pressure alarm cable has been deleted (rear view). Customer connections for the low pressure alarm on an MT00 Dehydrator are made at a terminal block located at the front of the chassis. A label in front of the strip identifies the alarm terminal strip functions.

All alarms are Form C dry contacts and are factory set for continuity at alarm. The external alarm monitoring system (not included) is connected to the terminal strip located at the top of the chassis. A small slotted screwdriver is necessary to make the connections. The connections to the alarm strip are as follows, and refer to Figure for correct locations and colors of the wires on the terminal strip.
MT00 SERIES DEHYDRATOR ADDENDUM Alarm Definitions: Excess Run: User settable run time to be set in accordance with the normal run time for the particular application. Selectable times are 0, 0, 0 and 0 minutes. See Figure for location of JP. Power Fail: Activates when power is removed from the dehydrator. This includes turning the power off at the switch. High Humidity: Activates when system or dehydrator output humidity rise above 7.% relative humidity. At initial installation, this alarm will continue to alarm until the system has been properly purged. Changing Alarm Outputs: The alarm outputs are factory set to prouide continuity on alarm. To change the Low Pressure alarm to NO, switch the push-on terminals on the alarm switch (center terminal is NO, bottom terminal is NC). Jumpers are provided on the triple alarm board for changing the contacts on the alarm relays. Terminal JP is for mains power fail alarm, JP is for the excess run time alarm, and JP is for the humidity alarm. See Figure for jumper locations. Both terminals are marked for the NC and NO options. Checking Alarm Operation: Checking correct alarm operation can be verified the most efficiently by using a continuity meter at the terminals of the alarm strip located on the front side of the unit. All contacts are form C dry contacts and will indicate an open or closed condition based on the jumpers set in the previous section. All contacts are preset at the factory for continuity on alarm. Humidity Alarm: At first power up, check the humidity alarm, because as the unit runs into the system or open air, the humidity alarm will clear, and the unit will have to sit idle in ambient air for a period of time in order for the humidity level in the internal parts to rise above the trigger point. Power Fail: Power fail is verified by alternating the power switch on the front of the unit from the ON to the OFF position and vice versa. Excess Run: The alarm timer is preset at the factory to 0 min, and this check will take the most time. It is recommended to check the excess run alarm during the initial run to purge the system.
