Kubu, slimlit, lacak and malaka are the materials we generally use. The surface is treated with water based / eco-friendly colouring varnish. Recommended for indoor use. Care: Brush off any dirt and wipe with a damp cloth. Colour may fade after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Upholstered furniture Our linen chairs and sofas are created on a solid wood frame, using a sinuous sprung base and the cushions are a foam core, with a luxurious feather and down wrap. Most of our fabrics for upholstered furniture are 100% linen with a Martindale of 20,000. Recommended for indoor use. Care: Dry cleaning is recommended for linen upholstery. Colour may fade after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Leather upholstered furniture Our leather furniture is made from 100% uncorrected aniline leather from South America. It is created on a solid wood frame and its cushions are foam with a fibre wrap. Because leather is a natural product that breathes we would not recommend extended direct exposure to harsh New Zealand sunlight. Recommended for indoor use. We only use high-quality, top grain aniline, water buffalo leather from Italy, all hides are personally selected by our leather experts. Water buffalo skin is especially suited for our vintage style products because of its unique characteristics: the leather naturally has a worn look, full of markings like scars, scratches, and wrinkles. Recommended for indoor use. Care: Clean leather regularly with a clean, soft, slightly damp, colourfast cloth to remove dust, body salts and oils naturally occurring in human skin that build up on the leather. Do not use detergents, solvents, abrasives or suede cleaners. Conditioner: We recommend treating the leather with leather conditioner such as Pelle revitaliser every 3-4 months. This revitaliser is in a neutral colour tone so is suitable for all leather colours except the Raw AW 44 Chair (A5028), which is not suitable for any type of conditioning treatment, this chair will age naturally in your home. Elmwood & Oak The elm wood in our collection originates from central Asia and its trunk produces very strong furniture that ages beautifully. A coarse appearance and surface with irregularity in the wood is characteristic of our products. The products have received multiple wax treatments at the time of production. Some cracking may occur. Recommended for indoor use. Oak is a hard, dense and strong type of wood that is well suited to furniture making. Most of our wood products in oak have received multiple wax treatments at the time of production. Our Denver collection in weathered oak has a water based matte varnish applied to the surface but otherwise is completely untreated. Some cracking may occur. Recommended for indoor use. Care: We recommend treating the furniture by waxing every 4-6 months with a natural wood wax. Left untreated the furniture becomes more delicate and marks may become permanent. Any stains should be wiped off immediately with a damp cloth. Colour may fade after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Temperature and air humidity also affect how the wood behaves. Some cracking may occur. Java oak A tropical fast growing wood that has a grain similar to teak wood but with a softer texture. The surface is treated with water based & eco-friendly colouring varnish. Recommended for indoor use. Care: Wipe with a damp cloth. Some cracking may occur. 98 - Different Ways Of Living

Teak Teak is a wood which has particularly good properties for production of furniture and interior fittings. It is hard, heavy, elastic and contains oils which give it great resistance to moisture. We only use wood from Indonesian plantations to make our teak products. These are treated in 3 steps with lacquer to obtain a weathered worn grey colour. The treatments / lacquer will gradually fade over time after continued exposure to sunlight and water. Splits, cracking and slight movement should be expected as timber is a natural product. Care: All of our outdoor teak dining tables come with a bottle of Golden Care Teak Shield. It can be purchased from your Artwood stockist for other teak products. Leave the furniture to weather for three months, then clean the furniture with a damp cloth, apply the Golden Care Teak Shield with a soft cloth, once dry the furniture may be used again, this process should be repeated every three months. Failure to care for your teak products may void our warranty. Metal frame The metal frame has a powder coated galvanised finish that will require minimal care. We recommend wiping dirt off with a soft cloth. If you scratch the finish you will need to reseal it with a rust protector. Outdoor Wicker Maintenance free furniture woven by hand in all weather wicker, (polyethylene), on a rustproof aluminium frame. Recommended for both indoor and outdoor use, however not in freezing temperatures. May crack after prolonged exposure to strong sunlight and salt. Care: We recommend regular washing with water and a soft scrubbing brush to remove dirt, dust and salt build up. Cushions - outdoor Outdoor cushions are produced with quick dry foam and 100% solution dyed acrylic fabric. Cushions should not be left out in humid or wet conditions for prolonged periods of time. Care: All covers are removable and washable, however, dry cleaning is recommended for all fabrics. Replacement cushions are available in the event of damage. Cushions - indoor Our cushion covers are manufactured in a range of fabrics. Cushions should not be left out in humid or wet conditions. Care: All covers are removable and washable, however dry cleaning is recommended for all fabrics. Carpets Recommended for indoor use only. Care: Vacuum gently to remove dirt.
