We keep the CVMGA meeting schedule light in the summer months so that we MGs can focus on our projects and enjoy our own gardens. In June we will have an open board meeting at Bridgewater Restaurant to plan programming for the rest of the year. We welcome all members to join us for a casual business meeting, conversation, and perhaps something to eat or drink from the Bridgewater menu. July is devoted to our Butterfly Buddies project at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. See information from Mary Jo in this newsletter about how and when you can volunteer to help at our pollinator education booth in the Science and Technology building. There is no regular CVMGA meeting in July. In August and September we will have opportunities to learn about straw bale gardening and growing hops. Look for details in future newsletters. Garden on! It s always a wonderful thing to watch you share your love of growing with kids who attend the event! Your participation in this event is what makes it so successful and we greatly appreciate your involvement. Not only does this event provide a healthy family-friendly outing, but it offers an abundance of information on activities families and individuals can enjoy in our great outdoors. In this day of technology overload, it s nice to be able to remind people that there are many options in our outdoors that are healthy alternatives to enjoy. Guests went home with wonderful information and many took home some great door prizes, too. Over 400 people attended this free three hour event this year and most stayed for the entire time. We greatly appreciate your contribution to the success of this event and look forward to partnering with you again on future endeavors, including Outdoor Ed-Venture. THANK YOU!
