BD SERIES CIRCULATOR PUMPS OME BOOSTER PUMP YJET W ARRA NTY BD15-90B APPLICATION The BD15-90B is a circulator pump designed for pressure boosting of potable water and domestic hot water. The pump provides additional pressure to showers, taps and similar outlet points. The BD15-90B is for use in open systems. Approval from the local water company must be obtained if the pump is to be connected directly to the water main. The pump incorporates a flow switch which starts or stops the pump when a tap is turned on or off. Stops the pump and protects the motor in case of overcurrent. INSTALLATION & STARTUP To operate, the electrical power supply of the pump must be connected to the main power supply. For this reason, the power supply plug of the pump must be inserted into the socket of the device which is then connected to the power point. In case of a water shortage on suction, the device will stop the pump and protect it against dry running. This malfunctioning is indicated with the red Failure led blinking. In case of the current absorption exceeding 8 Amps (PC-PS08) or 10 Amps (PC-PS10), the device will stop the pump motor and protect it against over-current. This malfunctioning is indicated with the red Failure led on. To restore normal operation to the device and the system press the red Restart button. There are many factors which affect suction lift: Altitude: As altitude increases, atmospheric pressure decreases, thus exerting less push on the water entering the pump suction. Pump Suction Performance: Generally, the higher the flow rate from a pump, the less the partial vacuum created by that pump.
